Worbital - Team Jolly Roger

“A delayed game is eventually good, a bad game is bad forever.” - Shigeru Miyamoto

Thank you so much for participating in Worbital Beta 2! Unfortunately, issues came up during the Beta 2 run that forced a difficult choice upon us—as a result, we have decided to postpone the launch of Worbital from its predicted launch date of late 2018 to early 2019.

While we hadn’t formally announced a release date, the implication had been that it was just around the corner, which it was, but is no longer. We sincerely apologize for the disappointment, but you can be absolutely sure, Worbital will be much better for it.

The rescheduling has given us some new challenges, but primarily, new opportunities. The extra time will allow parts of the team to focus on new features and weapons, in addition to the planned necessary fixes and polish. You can consider these new features as a big bonus to reward you for your patience.

We’ll be hanging around the Team Jolly Roger Discord as always, chatting and answering questions. However, we’ll do fewer teasers than before, as constant reminders certainly wouldn’t make the wait any easier. A status update every few weeks should keep you nicely up to speed. So, do stick around and let’s make this delay more bearable for us all.

Once again, sorry for making you wait. We wouldn’t do this if we weren’t absolutely sure that it will be worth it.
Crossout - XO_Team

Hello, our loyal listeners!

This is the “Wasteland Radio”, and we want to remind you that the autumn fair will start soon! I don't know about you, but I started getting ready for it in the summer. Every trader from all over the Wasteland will be there. You can get a pretty good price and buy something you've wanted for a long time.

Of course, the merchants are going to do their best to interest you in their products. I remember that last year a trained bear stood behind one of the counters. Some had fireworks, fire swallowing performances and dynamite stick juggling. And I was lucky enough to stumble upon a tyre shop with only Engineer girls as the shop assistants. And the little devils sweet-talked me into buying three years worth of tyres.

In any case, do not miss this event! This is why November's edition of the ad calendar depicts a fair stand. Too good to be real, of course. The girl here is clearly from the hundred-year-old magazines. Only the tattoos hint at her true Engineer nature. Except for those, she's all smiles as if there was no Crossout everywhere. Come to think of it, some of the modern Wasteland inhabitants also have gleaming eyes. Glowing even. And who knows, maybe they're smiling under their masks. But as soon as I imagine this smile, I get shivers.

You can download November's Crossout calendar from the project's official website in the “Wallpapers” section.

:votes: RULES:

Sessions that count towards the tournament: :bh2coin::bh2coin::bh2coin::bh2coin::bh2coin::bh2coin::bh2coin::bh2coin: (8)

For each win, players receive additional points that depend on the strength of the opponents over whom they have won. Important: your tournament points will continue to increase with the increase in the tournament score of your past opponents, over whom you prevailed – even if you already have reached the limit of sessions for the tournament. What this means is that the tournament is never over for you as long as your previously conquered opponents continue to play, and win.

During this tournament, regular rating points will be frozen for all the players. Your tournament sessions will NOT affect your regular rating.

Players get tournament points for the first 8 sessions played in the tournament on each of the servers. Any subsequent sessions won't give any tournament points, and won't increase the number of defeated opponents who give additional points. Nonetheless, victories of all opponents who were defeated in the first 8 sessions will affect your final tournament rating.

PRIZE FUND:

Awarded: Top 10 players on each of the servers. In addition to the main prize fund, every player who finishes all 8 tournament sessions receives a special bonus player icon “Facepalm” (only if it has not been received before)!

Place / Prize –
  1. :Holy_Grailet: 5, :pumpking: 7, Bomb-o-mat, A Contraband Box of Goods x 3
  2. :Holy_Grailet: 4, :pumpking: 7 A Contraband Box of Goods x 2

  10. :Holy_Grailet: 1, :pumpking: 3
:Holy_Grailet: = Tournament Chest (limited, tournaments only)
:pumpking: = Autumn Chest (limited, Autumn Season only)

In the case when at the end of the tournament two or more players will have equal number of tournament points, they will share the same (highest) place and get the same rewards. However, the award list will not be extended, and we will still award only the top 10 players on each server.

Tank Universal 2 - Madjack
Hi all.

End of October, start of November?
The year is rapidly dwindling and so it must be time for another TU2 update.

At this point all content is in, so the focus is very much on balancing and bug fixing.

This update won't fix all the bugs but there's been good progress on killing many of the more bothersome issues.

First up is a rebalancing of upgrade costs and the amount of upgrade points awarded during play. Essential upgrades such as reload time, armor levels and shield regen have been made cheaper - other items such as rockets have been made more expensive. The nuke ability is now very expensive to both buy and use - as might be expected. Finding secret depots/tombs/villages after clearing a level can help greatly in scraping together more points.

Users were seeing a crash after a number of hours playing.
Seems a bunch of textures weren't being cleared from memory between levels and were actually compounding. This would inevitably lead to a crash after 5-6 hours of continual play - which is unacceptable. This update should resolve that issue with textures being properly flushed.

Player medium tank shells bounce chance reduced from 5% to 3%. Less aggravating.

Blastwalls should now properly fade-out when done and be removed from radar immediately.

Fortress wall repair time decreased by a third. This makes it more viable to repair a fortress while defending.

Harvesters now have panels along their bodies that light up as they collect glyphs. Looks cool.

If game does exit without saving for whatever reason (powercut, cat on keyboard or god forbid, a crash), restarting and choosing continue will restart on the level played before exit.

Various cutscene wording tweaks.

Behemoth shield level reduced by a third. Mines are still the best way to take them down.
Behemoths only appear once now during a fortress defend level. They don't respawn continually.

Graphics tweak to the statue + worms in Gorgon's sector.

Sappers now take correct amount of time to drill through walls.

Lots of other tweaks and fixes.

I can say now that as a developer, there's nothing better than dozens of playthroughs to make you thoroughly sick of your game. But it has to happen to pick up bugs. Hopefully the next update should see the game in a release ready state. It's been a long road but the end's in sight (although having said that, there'll be more patches needed after release I'm sure.)

Speaking of the end of the road/year - merch!
There's TU2 stuff in the link below of course, but if that doesn't appeal there's also New Zealand themed t-shirts which have been very popular, along with Elite Dangerous stickers. In fact a guy who works at Frontier bought a couple of the 'Thargoid Pest Control' stickers for the office! All good for Christmas.

Many thanks for your support!

Known issues:
As mentioned, hardpoints in hub levels need another pass. They're not working correctly but are still playable.
When carrying the player out of a finished level, the lifter sometimes dips below the landscape.
In-game cutscenes such as when logic gate opens or boss is spawned may have cam placement issues.
Hack progress bar GUI elements sometimes showing/not showing correctly.
