Automation cars, a level and new sounds!

In this update, we are collaborating with the development team of Automation. Automation, developed by Camshaft Software, is a separate game revolving around managing your own car company and designing extremely detailed vehicles from scratch, and is getting an update today too.

This joint update allows users of BeamNG.drive to drive cars designed by Automation players, using the regular BeamNG mod repository. At the same time, players of Automation are able to export its vehicles, drive them in BeamNG.drive and submit them to our mod repository, for any BeamNG.drive owner to download and drive.

In addition to that, here's some other highlights in this release:

Hello everyone!

After all the ups and downs, we are proud to announce you that the release of the BattleCore Arena's update will occur on July 17th, at around 6:00 am (PDT)! ːsteamhappyː
As you may know, this update will contain many new features, such as artificial intelligences, a new arena, a ranking system and a lobby system to play with your friends.

Automation - The Car Company Tycoon Game - Killrob


Here it is! In collaboration with the BeamNG devs we bring you the joint Exporter Update. It allows you to export your Automation cars to test drive them in BeamNG.drive.

The exporter is simple to use: design your car and engine in Automation, tune them to your liking, hit the export button, start up BeamNG.drive and your new car is right there in the vehicle list. It still is a little wonky in places, and will improve with future versions - but exporter works and is a blast to tinker with!



Automation Test Track in BeamNG.drive
The Automation Test Track was added as a big new level in BeamNG.drive for you to explore and compare track times! Apart from the main track there is an in-field rally circuit and country roads handling track, a tarmac hillclimb with snowy roads, a gravel rally stage up a massive dam and a lot more, all set in beautiful fictional Central Otago (New Zealand).

Collaboration Cross-Promotion Discount
As part of kicking off this collaboration between Automation and BeamNG, players owning either of the two titles will receive a 20% discount coupon on Steam for the respective other game shortly after the joint release. New buyers of the game within the period the coupons are valid will also receive a coupon for the respective other game! All coupons expire exactly 3 weeks after the update release.



Boxers, Inline 5s, and V16 Engines
With this update we added the remaining promised engines to the game: Boxer 4, Boxer 6, and Inline 5 engines. Also, after almost a year of V16 exclusivity for our pre-Steam early premium supporters, the “support the devs” V16 upgrade of Automation is available for purchase now. Other Features
Since the release of the Car Designer Revamp update we have done a lot more bugfixing and polishing of the UI. Also, we have added a few new tutorial scenarios in which you design engines in the context of a car to cater to certain demographics, as well as four basic open car scenarios.



Campaign Status
During all the development of the exporter we have not stopped working on the campaign on the side. Obviously, this “little” surprise has slowed down the process a bit, but the campaign update is not too far off. As per usual we’ll make sure to keep you updated with Little Dev Update videos.

Crest - an indirect god sim - Eat Create Sleep




Hello everyone!

We're hard at work on the new features for Crest, just wanted to give you an update.


Relaunch - September, 2018
After all of the feedback after the launch we felt that we would need some major changes to make it into the game you, our fans, deserve. Since May, 2018 we've been working on redesigning and polishing features, as well as visually upgrading the game.

The game will cost as much as before, everyone who've bought it will receive the update without extra cost (of course). The only thing you need to be aware of is that since we're doing such major overhauls the saves will break. I know we promised that we wouldn't do that with future updates, but we didn't anticipate that we'd have to do big overhauls. We're changing a lot of the core mechanics to the better and there's simply too much changes to migrate the old saves from the launch version. We apologise for this. But, what's in store will make up for it!


New Features and Improvements
In short we will give you more replayability and longevity, so more unique playthroughs and longer ones. We're also improving the visuals, the feedback and just generally making the game easier to play. Below you can see some things we're working on now!


New Doctrine System


We felt the old doctrine system was too hard to understand and too rigid so we threw it out and replaced it with this. Each city will have traits that give you negative and positive effects, they will also make them react to commandments.


Ancestors - Cause of Death


In the relaunch the ancestors will change role, they will instead provide immediate feedback about how they died when you visit the underworld.


Visual Upgrades



This update is mainly a programming intensive update, as such we can let the artists polish some visuals to the limit. We've made a new fancy ocean and are working on making the rivers less flat as well.

This is just some of the things we're working on, we will post more updates as it comes.



Build Testing
We're currently prototyping, designing and tweaking and although these things are playable in our internal build we haven't felt it stable enough to release in the wild yet. But we will release public testing soon, they will be available in a build branch here on Steam. More info on that as it comes.

For feedback I can very much recommend our Discord where we've a dedicated channel just for talking about this upcoming test phase. Let the admin, Martin know and you will be added to the discussion group. We can probably open a forum or topic here on Steam too if you prefer that.


Need Your Help
We fully understand why Crest has been "downvoted" on Steam, we realise that the game isn't the best it can be yet. But, when we relaunch the game we really need you, the community's help. If we're still on Mixed rating that will hurt our sales really bad, and if the relaunch sells poorly we'll have a hard time supporting the game after September. So it's a help me, help you situation. ;)

So please leave reviews if you think we deserve a thumbs up! If you wait until you can try the test build, that's fine! But if we can push the review score above 70% that would mean a lot to us. With the current rate we only need a handful more. Thank you.

New settings added in the "Basic Player Input" page of the manual:
- Added axis invert options for mouse/gamepad. Both X and Y axes can be inverted independently.
- Added the option to enable Twitch look. This disables the default smoothing of the FPS camera.

General Improvement:
- Added audio cues to indicate when difficulty scales throughout a match.
Fear The Wolves - Netheos


Hi everyone,

Fear The Wolves' Closed Beta will close today in a few hours (7PM CEST).

Thanks to all of you who joined the hundreds of games played in the last days and posted in our Official Forums and Discord. This was the very first time we opened Fear The Wolves up to thousands of players and we're happy to have received such a massive amount of feedback and reports.

As for any first test on a very large scale, it wasn't as smooth as we'd like the game to be for everyone, and we're sorry for those of you who suffered from technical issues. But that's the goal of any Beta and we now have a good idea of what you like in our take on the Battle Royale genre, and what needs more work!



The extraction system, the wolves and the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. vibe, among others, seem to have hit the mark and we're very excited to read that many of you liked these features.

We've worked hard this week to release daily updates for the Beta and we'll now focus our efforts on a big update addressing the largest issues you reported.

The next update includes but is not limited to fixes targeting the hit registration and early game server performance problems.

The Closed Beta will open again Monday morning, July 16th
, to test the latest update and prepare the Early Access release next Wednesday.

  • Platform Element Upgrade (Work In Progress)
    • Each platform element now has a maintenance fee. At the moment calculated from the bonus it provides. This will be tweaked further in 0.7
    • New UI element to display the maintenance fee in platform upgrade screen and platform overview
    • Maintenance fee is now paid monthly in-game, so there is a risk/reward balance by having multiple active platforms. Less prone to "cheese tactic" by opening as many platforms as possible in a new game
    • A platform element now support having a bonus more than 1 type
    • Support negative bonus type such as productivity -1
    • Display the active worker name in each platform
    • Platform element as research item is now displayed in research screen
    • New tab in platform summary to show platform details (active worker, statistic, maintenance)
