Putt-Putt® Joins the Parade - Saleck
Hello Everyone,

A new update for Putt-Putt Joins the Parade is now available which contains the following:
  • I have updated ScummVM from 1.6.0 to 1.7.0 across Windows, OS X and GNU/Linux.
  • opengl_nearest is the new display renderer. This provides really sharp looking graphics and also ensures 100% Steam Overlay functionality for Windows. It runs at your monitors current resolution.
  • I have completely re-written the shell launcher for GNU/Linux and implemented a new libraries system. This should allow for many more users of GNU/Linux to play the game and not just people on the latest versions of Ubuntu and Mint.
  • The Modern ScummVM skin now works on GNU/Linux. You can access the ScummVM menu by pressing CTRL+F5 (or Fn+F5 for Mac OS X) at any time.
  • ScummVM source code has been updated to 1.7.0. SDL source code is now included.

Enjoy the update and thank you for playing :)

We've added some "creatures" to certain maps and game modes for those times when the rooms aren't very crowded. Let us know what you think after testing this new experience, as there may be some bugs to fix or some tuning required.

The more creatures you take out, the more they will multiply. It gets pretty chaotic. You've been warned!

I've just finished uploading new test beta 0.9933b, which fixes two issues still found in v0.9932b.

The build is available to anyone who owns the beta at http://bluebottlegames.com/main/, or on Desura and Steam. Desura (and therefore, Groupees) users can use Desura Connect to gain access here, or even get their Steam keys and try it on Steam.

To access the test build on the official site, simply visit the beta page, and click any of the download links below the usual Windows, Mac, and Linux buttons.

Steam users can access the test build by opting into the beta for it.

Updates Included in the Test Beta

Test beta 0.9933b includes the following changes:

  • Fixed a bug that caused conditions to be ignored if queued. (E.g. some items like DMC bracelet stop working over time.)
  • Fixed a bug that caused quick recipe button to sometimes fail, even if appropriate ingredients are present.
  • Changed "glass shiv" to "shiv" since it can be made via plastic now.

This is just a minor update to address those first two listed bugs, as they could cause game-breaking issues if encountered.

As always, let me know what you think of the changes, and if you notice any issues with the new build!

Patch Highlights

  • Greatly increased the amount of dynamic event spawns in Sertao, Broken Peninsula and New Eden.
  • HKM updates:
+ HKMs now charge slightly faster.
+ HKMs last longer before their charge bar will start decreasing and charge will decay at a reduced rate.
    - This will allow players more time between combat phases while minimizing the amount of charge lost.
  • Added a report spam feature. To access this feature, enter mouse mode, click on a user’s name, scroll to report then select “Report Spam”. This feature will also automatically add the reported player to your ignore list.
  • Increased both XP and Crystite rewards for all ARES Jobs.
  • Hardcore Blackwater Anomaly will once again drop boss loot from the Necronus.
