Arx Fatalis Update Released
Arx Fatalis - Valve
Updates to Arx Fatalis have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include:

v1.21
  • Improved overall game stability under Microsoft© Windows Vista© & Windows 7©.
  • Fixed blinking effect that may happen when starting a new game.
  • Fixed HUD scaling when display resolution is higher than 1024x960.
  • Fixed EAX option: value is now saved when leaving the option menu.
  • Fixed an issue with the game locking-up when opening player inventory.
  • Fixed length of cinemascope bars displayed during cinematics.
  • Fixed some performance issues with a few Nvidia GPU (see Notes).

Notes:
  • If you experience in game framerate drops or stuttering, please give a try to the "Enable Rendering Fix" option in the Video settings.
  • This patch will remain the very last Arx Fatalis update released by Arkane Studios. However, the whole source code of the game is now available for download, which means that numerous fan made updates/mods may be found around the Internet. Arkane Studios won't provide any kind of answer or support regarding community developed content.

  • Added support for raw mouse input on PC. Raw input reads directly from the mouse, bypassing Windows control panel mouse settings. This addresses issues with high DPI mice, and provides for a more reliable controller experience at various resolutions

  • Fixes for stability issues on some Intel chips

Updates to The Polynomias have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include:

  • Windows: support for any audio format via DirectShow codecs; simply install system wide codecs in the usual way to play any format. Some types of internet streaming audio might also work now depending to the system configuration (OS X version already supports pretty much any format through system codecs)
  • Key bindings for next and previous song and song restart work correctly now
  • File chooser directories are remembered independently for different file chooser dialogs
  • Removed "Merry Christmas" from tutorial level (the Christmas tree remains in the Christmas level)
  • Moved Christmas themed music down in the default playlist

Updates to Counter-Strike: Source Beta have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include:

Counter-Strike: Source Beta
  • Made weapon accuracy changes in response to community feedback.
  • Fixed firing of "stale" burst mode bullets on glock and famas.
  • Re-enabled the ability for max grenades to be set from server convars
  • Fixed code to allow observing other players when mp_fadetoblack is enabled and mp_forcecamera is something other than OBS_ALLOW_NONE
  • Fixed round ending when timer runs out and mp_ignore_round_win_conditions is set
  • Fixed pistols continuously spamming weapon_fire event when the +attack key is pressed. (This has the side effect of no longer allowing the glock to continuously auto-fire in burst mode). All weapons no longer spam weapon_reload when the reload key is pressed.
  • Added defuser icons to CTs on the scoreboard; these are analogous to the bomb icons for Ts in that they only are visible for team members and spectators.
  • Made scoreboard more robust with user modified layout changes. Defuser, bomb, and VIP icons are now colored by team color convar.
  • Updated player max speed cap so that it no longer limits players to 240 movement speed.
