About This Game

***Not Compatible with Mac OS 10.8.x and above***

Prepare for a different kind of poker night in a very different kind of club. In Poker Night at the Inventory, you'll deal with Penny Arcade's clever, cunning Tycho, Team Fortress 2's hulking Heavy, Homestar Runner's self-proclaimed "awesome icon" Strong Bad and the hyperkinetic "rabbity-thing" from Sam & Max. These characters come together in ways some never thought possible, in a setting few would have predicted.
Unlock new TF2 items by beating The Heavy, Max, Tycho, or Strong Bad at high stakes games of poker.

The Enthusiast's Timepiece: Tycho's favorite timepiece (equippable by the Spy)

License to Maim: Max's Badge (equippable by all classes)
The Lugermorph: A second chance at Max's personal armament (equippable by the Scout and the Engineer)

The Iron Curtain: The Heavy's first love (equippable by the Heavy, obviously)

Dangeresque, Too?: Strong Bad's styling glasses (equippable by the Demoman)

Click random cards, If you don't win, do it again until you get a TF2 Item, then when you get all the achievement Items, uninstall the game.

It's poker. With a bunch of degenerate characters. And let's be honest: you bought or are considering buying it to get some TF2 items.

So sure, go ahead. You'll enjoy a decent game of poker, and an excellent script (that goes longer than expected before repeating) while you get said items.

Also, Tycho's voice is... strange. Odd to finally here a voice put to a Penny Arcade character.

Except for Tycho. Tycho sucks.

If you are buying this game with the intent of playing poker, don't bother. The AI is laughable, and not challenging in the slightest once you've learned how the bots think. The voice acting is decent, although the continuous dialog gets obnoxious quickly. On the bright side, the achievements are all relatively easy to unlock, with the exception of straight flush and four of a kind.. which are just luck based. If you're interested in this game soley for the tf2 items, it may still be worth the purchase. Just view it as paying a dollar an item or so, and if that's still worth it to you, then have at it. I'd say it's best viewed as buying an items dlc for team fotress two, rather than a game purchase - you'll be less likely to end up disappointed in that case.

Poker Night 2 is the better game - get Poker Night 1 only if you've exhausted all the witty banter in Poker Night 2 and are desperate for another fix, even if it means the dealer loses all personality.

Look. I get it. You're new here.
But you know that nice little free shooter? Team Fortress 2?
You need to buy this to get cool stuff for it.
And you can also play poker while you do.
Enjoy.
