the new patch 1.5.3.0 is out now! Be careful the patch notes could contain spoilers to some extent, we try to avoid them as much as possible, though. Thanks to gavrant and DanielCoffey who contributed a lot to this patch! If you encounter a lot of crashes in general, try turning "OSAllocators" on. The setting is located in the optimization tab of the launcher.
Furthermore we want to apologize because the game already updated ~1.7GB twice for everyone who was online yesterday evening. The patch which we uploaded was crashing the game for everyone, so we immediately reverted it after noticing. Sorry if you have slow connection speed or limited data volume!
This patch is bigger in size than the previous ones. If you encounter issues after the update, make sure to verify your game files!

Common issues and works arounds
Controller users might have trouble leaving the meditation area. Make sure to save the game and then restart the game and reload it. Or try to meditate once with mouse/keyboard, after that the controller will be detected properly.
In case you have crashes on game launch / not launching at all or crashes in the first loading screen:
Make sure that no additional mods are installed or activated.
Don't use ALT+TAB during loading screens, to click on a different display. It might take a long time for the game to load, even when it seems like it might already have crashed (mouse cursor becoming a circle or might be missing entirely).
Make sure your anti-virus-program, windows defender or firewall are not blocking the Enderal Launcher.exe, tes5.exe and skse_loader.exe. Furthermore make sure they all run with admin permissions. ENBoost and OneTweak can cause the game not to start on certain hardware configurations. Try to disable them in the Launcher.
Don't launch the game using the skse_loader.exe, start it directly through Steam or the Enderal Launcher.exe.
Try restarting Steam and/or your PC.
Change settings in the Enderal Launcher, make sure the CPU and RAM usage are maxed out in the optimization tab.
Try redownloading the game.
The video cutscenes stutter / Audio cuts out / crashing while in a cutscene:
If the video or audio gets cut out during cutscenes or the game crashes entirely, close the game an open up the Enderal Launcher. Go to the >Optimization< tab in the settings and disable OneTweak and ENBoost. Then go to the first tab >Common< and untick the Window Mode option. Save the settings and relaunch Enderal.
There is also a possibility to skip the cutscenes, but it's only recommend to use this if you've already played the game once: Ingame > ESC > Mod configuration menu > Enderal > Skip Videos
Videos can also be watched directly in the games files. Steam\steamapps\common\Enderal\Data\Video\.
I appreciate every reader. If you like it - even if you read the Patreon version - I'd be grateful if you could spare the time to leave me a rating, a follow, and a comment on WattPad or simply tell your friends about it.
Visibility is where most web novels fail - and I'm happy for every bit of support I can get. :)

Sorry for the lack of news regarding Enderal's release in the last few weeks. We've got good news: Enderal was approved by Valve! However, we are currently busy ironing out bugs that have been found by our testers in the mean time. An exact release date will be announced via the release trailer! We'll keep you updated!
Have you ever wondered who voiced your favourite NPC in Enderal? Then check out the Voice Actor Spotlight. Today's post was about Constantine Firespark!
"In a city of dreamers, there are bound to be nightmares."
It’s official: The Enderal universe is expanding!
This is Nicolas, the writer of Enderal. For the past year, I have been working on "Dreams of the Dying," a spin-off novel to Enderal. It’s the first entry in a series that explores Jespar’s past as a mercenary.
The book is a web novel, which means I’ll publish one chapter a week, on Patreon, Steam, and Wattpad. The first one is due with our soon-to-release Forgotten Stories cinematic trailer. I'm also planning to make physical copies available via Amazon at the end of each “season”. Of course, there's also a German translation.
“Dreams of the Dying” is free to read, but I’ll relaunch my Patreon page when the first chapter comes out, for those who’d like to support my writing financially. A big thanks to my loyal Patreons at this point - I know my page didn’t offer much in return, but with “Dreams of the Dying,” that will change. You honestly rock.
If you can’t become my Patreon, no problem. Just like Enderal, the novel is a work of passion - and I’m grateful for every reader. 😊
Now, without further ado: Here's a glimpse at what's coming!
We'd like to end the year with a little surprise - the new Enderal main menu by the very talented Stefan Stankovic.
Thank you for your ongoing support and your patience - we're still waiting for word from Steam, but we're using the time to polish the hell out of this game. Also, there will be news about the Jespar novel soon.
Christmas is here, and Enderal isn't - why is that? We've promised an announcement this week - and this is it.
Long story short: though we submitted our Steam build some weeks back, the unusual data structure and Enderal's dependency on Skyrim makes the process a lot more complicated than we thought. Until Steam approves of our build, we can't release.
All this means that Enderal isn't coming before January 2019. Since we have no control over the process, we can't even give a definitive date here, but rest assured that we want a timely release as much as you do.
On the other hand, this additional buffer gives us more time to polish, bugfix and test the hell out of the game, which ultimately means a better product. We're also working hard on our fancy cinematic release trailer which we're releasing in the coming weeks, as well as the first chapter of the Jespar novel (altogether with a redesigned Patreon page.)
Finally, we'd like to share this new song from the new Rhalâta quest line with you, performed by the talented Lauren Synger. We'll also share lots of exciting stuff in the days from now until release to make the wait a little easier.
Sorry for the delay, thanks for your patience and your ongoing support, and happy holidays! We'll make sure that Forgotten Stories will be worth the wait.
