Corona Relief Done Quick - a weekend-long speedrunning event to raise money for Direct Relief - is happening this weekend (April 17-19) and Vectronom is part of the line-up!

We just released another update for Vectronom which fixes some known issues and even introduces new way to play. Have a look at the changelog below and definitely try out the Free Tempo Mode with the newly added Fixed Player Speed option.

Vectronom 1.0.2 Changelog
Features:
- Added the "Fixed Player Speed" mode. If enabled this mode decouples the player movement speed from the game's BPM.
- Added the name of the previous level to the level finish stats screen.
- Added Russian language support
- Added the option to remap the movement when using any external controller.
Fixes:
- Fixed an issue where the BPM did not change properly in Free Tempo Mode
- Fixed an issue where it was not possible to manually set the tempo back to 100%.
- Fixed an issue where level and music would desync when using the "restart level" function or loading a level via the level select menu.
- Fixed an issue that displayed the wrong text when asked to override your savedata when starting a new game.
- Fixed an issue with the on-beat color blinking in multiplayer
- Fixed multiplayer player-to-ground color contrast ratio

Quality of Life:
- Added an option to go "Back to Level Select" (instead of "Back to Main Menu") when that level was loaded through level select

Vectronom has just been updated to version 1.0.1 and this marks the first update since our launch last week. It includes a couple of QoL improvements among other things. You can check out what has changed in the changelog below.

Features:
- Added the "-noaxes" launch option which skips all axis inputs on any controllers. Useful for dancepads or alternate controllers that might send axis signals
- Added a minimal speedrunning Overlay that shows Move Leeway and BPM Scale
Fixes:
- Fixed an issue where the Free Tempo Mode info would not display properly in the instruction manual
- Fixed the darkness effect in level "Witchcraft" when using accessibility colors.
Quality of Life:
- Players now automatically get removed after being idle for 3 minutes if there are more than one
- The continue button is now selected by default (before it was New Game)
- Cancel is now selected by default when starting a new game to avoid accidentally resetting your save data
- The "Exit Level" option has been removed from the pause menu because it could lead players to accidentally lose progress within a hub section.
- Re-implemented the option to restart a level
- Made the blinking on Beat-Perfect moves less subtle
UI:
- Rephrased some text in the controller assignment prompt
- Changed “disable background” to “static background”
- Made Free Tempo Mode Toggle more visible
