From 17:00 GMT on the 15th of December for one week, we're proud to announce that we're going one step further. Welcome to...


We're taking over the airwaves! All week long Alaskan Road Truckers players will be in charge of TruckStopRadio, making song requests, asking for shoutouts - the lot.

So if you've ever wanted to hear a particular song in-game, or have a family member, friend, or pet who deserves getting name-checked live on radio - you'll be able to do so all week!

Here's how you can take part:

Between 17:00 BST on the 15th of December and the 22nd of December TruckStopRadio will be running Alaskan Road Tunes. Alongside both the Ice Roads Expansion and Trucking Hell DLC, we’ve also been hard at work updating the game and working on issues that may affect the player experience.

We've been busy readying ourselves for our next big update, you won't have long to wait until there's a ton of new stuff, fixes, and changes coming to Alaskan Road Truckers.

We're also putting together the final touches on our next bit of cosmetic DLC, which'll give you everything you need to let the world know you're the toughest and roughest trucker out there on the wild Alaskan roads.

If that sounds like something you'd be interested in, then why not...


That's right, we're asking you - our wonderful truckers - to take screenshots in Alaskan Road Truckers in three different categories.

The best screenshots will be rewarded with the next paid DLC for free and we'll also make a gallery to show off some of the beautiful pictures you take.

We'll be running this screenshot contest until the 14th of December, 2023, and you can submit your screenshots here, on social media, or on our Discord.


Only a few rules to abide by, here's what you need to know:

• To be eligible, all screenshots must be submitted between 17:00 GMT on 07/12/2023 and 12:00 GMT on 14/12/2023
  
• Disable the in-game HUD in the options when taking your screenshots
  
• Maximum 5 entries per person

We're looking for screenshots in the following three categories: Winter, Truck Shot, and Nature. Winners will be announced on the 14th.

It's been a few weeks since we launched Alaskan Road Truckers, and we decided to take a moment and look back at the road behind us and give you all a sneak peek at the road in front.

We've come a long way already, and we're not stopping here. In case you've missed some of our updates or want to know what we're working on right now - here we go!




Our most recent update was titled Trucking Legends. It launched last week and changed up some of the ways players can experience the game.

In addition to the standard mode, players are now able to select Casual and Legend options when starting a new game. These tweak the difficulty of the core Alaskan Road Trucker experience. Casual mode makes the game a little easier, with resources being consumed less quickly and weather being easier to manage. Legend mode, however, tests your trucking skills to the limit.

With harder missions, a tougher Winter start, and punishing weather, if you want to prove yourself out there in the harsh Alaskan Wilderness, this is the mode for you.




Of course, we've not just added new content to the game. There's been a ton of patches released since launch all aimed at fixing and improving the issues that matter to you - our players. Your feedback and reports have helped us aim our efforts in the right direction, and we've come a long way.

That doesn't mean we're satisfied and sitting on our laurels. We are continually refining Alaskan Road Truckers, working on areas such as AI, controller issues, game-feel, optimization, and game balance. In the coming weeks and months you'll see many updates from us - all aimed at improving the core game experience.


One thing we know is important is making your truck feel like it's yours. We've already released some new cosmetic options for trucks and of course, there's the Mother Truckers Edition DLC but we're also looking at making more.

Being a badass is part of the trucker experience and our next set of cosmetics will reflect that, with a rough 'n' ready look that'll show off your rugged style in spades.




The big update that we're focusing on right now will add more depth to the game, as well as more challenge. We spoke about it before in our Roadmap but we're getting closer and closer to unveiling the Ice Roads Expansion for Alaskan Road Truckers.

This expansion will put you and your truck on the edge of danger as you fight for survival against the harshest of elements. Only the toughest, bravest, and most skilled truckers will be able to succeed in these brand-new missions. With all new looks, routes, and terrain to conquer - this will take Alaskan Road Truckers to the next level.

Our plans don't end there, we're working on more content, more ideas, and more everything. From launching on console to further expansions and DLC, we've got big plans, and we can't wait to take you along for the ride!

We've just launched a brand new update for Alaskan Road Truckers. One of the key pieces of feedback has been about customizing your trucker journey, being able to choose a little more and play the game your way.

This update aims to address that. That's why we're inviting you to...



The Trucking Legends Update will give you three options to choose from when you start a new game. In addition to the standard balanced normal mode, you'll also have Casual and Legend options to choose from.

In Casual mode you'll experience an easier time when delivering, perfect if you just want to sit back and get on with trucking. Resources will deplete less fast, the weather will be less punishing - overall it'll be a kinder expeirence.

If you want to test your skills, however, you can choose the new Legend mode. Here you'll start in the depths of winter. Weather will be harder to deal with, missions will be tougher. The game will be much harder to play, and you'll have to fight for survival to become a true Trucking Legend.

• New game modes! (We may add more in the future)

Casual
Better weather, more time for delivery and slower consumption of resources. You start in the summer.

Standard
This is the intended, balanced experience.

Legend
Difficult weather conditions and more demanding orders. You start in winter, with a jacket and wheel chains in your truck's equipment.

• New Legend truck skin, available in customization workshops.
  
• DLSS will now save properly after you set it and won't reset every time you launch the game. However, upon the introduction of the update, you will need to set your DLSS one final time.
  
• Mechanics related to time flow are now fixed, parts or resources do not deplete when leaving the game on idle, sleeping, or being transported to the Hospital.
  
• New controller scheme that can be selected in the Settings, offering a similar experience to other games in the genre.
  
• Fixes to the way many texts are displayed, they should not go over the border anymore.
  
• Fixed the bug that could cause a disappeareance of the truck left in the HQ.
  
• Optimization of the southern part of the map. The optimization process as a whole continues.
  
• Revamping the interior of the starting truck Westend Sorrow 420. More detail, better textures.
  
• Fixed the bug that could cause the player to freeze when sleeping at a motel or being at the HQ.
  
• Improved the way snow tracks are displayed.
  
• Fixed the XP rewards for POI photos, incl. retroactively awarding the points for pics already taken.
  
• Also: Additional optimization tweaks and general fixes, incl. translation fixes, based on community feedback from update testing.

A new game from one of our publishers has just launched. Beyond Sunset is a cyberpunk pixel carnage FPS developed by Vaporware and published by Movie Games.
