Hello Adventures,

You might have heard about our update plans through the Pre-Update Beta and now, after a few weeks of your meticulous testing and of our even more diligent improvement to the new features we are so happy to finally announce that the official release of the Storage & Transportation Update to Green Hell will go live on August 28!

What can you expect from the new update?

See below for a list of all the new additions to come in the latest update:

  • Sled - A new addition for transporting heavy objects that won’t fit in your Backpack! Players can put two different types of Heavy Objects into one Sled for transport.
  • Elevator - A new, much easier way of transporting heavy resources to both your base's upper floors and Tree Houses.
  • Shelf - Introducing a new universal storage option where you can store and display most of the items from your Backpack excluding weapons and sticks.
  • Hanging Shelf - Now you can add more storage space with the first wall add-ons. Adding shelving onto walls will free up space for players elsewhere in their houses.
  • Small Storage Basket - An improved version of the Small Stone Stand, the Small Storage Basket can hold various types of objects: Stone, Obsidian Stone, Charcoal, Bone, Plank, etc.
  • Large Storage Basket - Similar to above, an improved version of the Big Stone Stand that can hold various types of heavy objects such as Big Stone, Green Coconut, Mud Brick, etc.
  • Significant changes in storage:
    - More universal Stands and Storage: One universal Leaf Stand can store both Banana and Palm Leaves. This also applies to the Log Stand, the Stick Stand, and the Long Stick Stand.
    - New Bamboo versions of Stands: Every storage construction now has a bamboo version.
    - Increased capacity of Stands: Some older Stands, such as the Rope Stand, now have extended capacity.
    - Improved item storing & removing mechanic: Players can now place an item in storage with a single button push and take it out with another.
  • Removed animation delay for picking up items: Players no longer have to wait for an animation to complete to pick up another item. The faster one clicks, the faster one picks!
In just less than two weeks you’ll be able to put all the improvements to the test. But until then... stay sane on the treetops!

Hello Adventurers,

Thanks to your feedback, we've made some major changes in the quality of life features while using the new items from Storage & Transportation! Enjoy them now on the updated build of the Pre-Update Beta.

PLEASE NOTE:
In order to enjoy the new PUB version please start your game on a new save and please reset your keybinds.

Using a Save Game from the previous version of the PUB will cause major technical issues which might make it difficult to enjoy the game and thus influence your feedback.

  • Player can now sprint with the Sled at the cost of increased stamina depletion,
  • Capacity of the Sled was adjusted according to the ammount of resources a Player can carry in their hands,
  • Capacity of the Elevator was adjusted according to the ammount of resources a Player can carry in their hands,
  • A Player can now ride the Elevator
  • A Player can now send the Elevator to the floor of their choice,
  • Inserting items into Storage now uses the same keybid as dropping items on the ground - Q. It can be changed in the Keybid Options. It has been changed on the controller as well,
  • Player can now disable Fast Pickup (removed animation delay) in the Game Settings,
  • Take max' feature is now added to all storage constructions
  • Ghosts of storage constructions now display stored items, so they won't collide with other objects after being built

If you haven't already checked our Pre-Beta Update, follow the instructions below:

In order to take part in the Storage & Transportation Pre Update Beta (PUB), you'll need to:
- have Green Hell added to your Steam library - and downloaded as well,
- click the right mouse button on it, and choose “Properties”,
- in the popup choose option “Betas”, then enter beta access code: “LoveYourCapybara”, and select “GH_PUB” branch,
- now you can play the Storage & Transportation Update contents before their release - in the Pre Update Beta access!
- If you still can't see the GH_PUB branch after typing the code in, please restart the Steam client and try again. Please note that you won’t be able to move saves between your main game and PUB.

Since the PUB is still a work in progress, it is not impossible that you may experience crashes - this is when some specific commands will appear in the left-bottom part of the screen.
Whenever that happens - please save your progress and restart the game.

We’re still waiting for your feedback in comments, in the dedicated thread, at support@creepyjar.com, and on #beta-tests on Green Hell Discord server!

Hey Adventurers,

Yesterday was #CapybaraAppreciationDay, and together with Orientarium ZOO Łódź, we organized a fabulous party for Tenebris - the cappy, which we are a proud sponsor of!
Dozens of people lined up in the ZOO to see capybara on her special day.

We prepared a “cake” - favorite Tenebris vegetables, such as bell peppers, beetroots, and celeries. After finishing this exquisite meal and some fans meet & greet, it was finally time for some relaxation: a long bath in rose petals. We’re sure that Tenebris enjoyed that!

Hello Adventurers,

We are very proud to announce that we’ve just revealed our second title on the PC Gaming Show! We’re so excited to finally show you a little bit about the game!

Chimera will be a journey to a whole new universe compared to Green Hell, however, it will be built on similar survival foundations you know so well. Game will take place on a mysterious planet in an ever-changing open world, torn by recurring cataclysms, where your mission will be to build a complex industrial system to extract resources, produce goods and expand base. You’ll fight against hordes of alien monsters to defend your base and survive, alone - or with a team of up to three friends.

We kindly invite you to check out Chimera’s Steam page, and if you like to support our newly announced development journey, consider adding Chimera to your wishlist!
