We do see some questions frequently, so we wanted to make a list of frequently asked questions to address as many of these as possible.
What are the differences between the classes?
Each class has a unique passive bonus, movement ability, and 4 special abilities. Additionally each class can craft a unique weapon at the forge.
How does deploying work?
You’ll begin the game on the starter island waiting for players to load in. Soon after, everyone will be put in a zeppelin that travels across the map. When you decide where you want to go, press your spacebar to drop out and begin freefalling. Pro tip! Use your movement keys and mouse to control your fall-- looking towards the horizon allows you to travel farther!
How do I travel around the map?
The Realm is vast, but luckily you have a trusty mount to move faster. Press Z to summon your mount when outside.
How do I gear up?
Throughout the map are three different kinds of chests. The basic chest contains armor, weapons, and abilities. The potion chest will supply you with potions that restore your health or armor, and weapon chests will exclusively drop weapons. When you find items you won’t use you can disenchant them to acquire shards.
What about the chickens?
When you drop an opponent’s health to zero they aren’t immediately eliminated. Instead, they become a harmless chicken. Don’t wait too long to destroy the chicken, as they’ll soon return to life with all their gear intact. When defeated, chickens will drop all of their items, including their Chicken Trophy.
How do I use the forge?
Shards can be used at the forge to craft the most powerful items. If you’re low on potions, you can craft more to refill your stock. To become more powerful you can craft legendary armor, abilities, and weapons. Each class has a powerful legendary weapon, to craft that you’ll need a Chicken Trophy as well as shards.
How does the ranking system work?
Ranking is based on your placement in your top 50 matches (even if you haven't played 50 matches, you will still receive a rank based on your placement in all of your matches).
You can only work your way up the ranks by placing higher and higher in matches, and cannot fall over time. The highest rank is therefore achieved by earning 50 wins.
Once you have played 50 wins, the game will also track the total number of eliminations you have made within your top 50 games.
How do I report players?
Players can be reported in-game once you have been defeated in a match. Reports should be limited to instances of rule breaking, including cheating, teaming (working with other squads, offering those players an unfair advantage), or harassment.
When will Realm Royale come to console?
We will have more announcements regarding Realm Royale on console later this year!

This week has been a wild ride for the Realm Royale team! We at Hi-Rez Studios could not be more ecstatic to have so many new Champions entering the Realm.
As we progress through the Early Access Alpha stage of Realm Royale, we seek to frequently bring updates to the game based on community feedback. From the introduction of the Solo queue, adding SEA servers, and reducing Dagger damage, we have rolled out a number of changes this week alone based on community feedback.
We are looking for direct feedback on particular aspects of the game and have made a short survey for players to give us their feedback! We understand that this survey will not be able to encompass all topics on which players would like to comment. As such, we have created the Feedback Discussions Thread where players can leave their thoughts on the game! We have many members of the team that monitor this thread regularly and take your feedback into account.
We hope that you continue to enjoy your time within the Realm and look forward to bringing new and exciting content to our players. The Realm Royale team appreciates all of the great feedback that you have provided us.
Due to an overwhelming amount of player requests, we have added the Solo queue to Realm Royale. You will now be able to queue with a friend, with a squad of up to four, or by yourself!
We hope that you are enjoying Realm Royale and encourage you to share your thoughts on the game within the Steam Discussions, Reviews, or Realm Royale Discord server! We are always listening to our community and look forward to bringing new features and content your way!
Join over 8,000 players in the Realm Royale Discord server to discuss the game, look for teammates, and participate in fun community challenges!
Players new and old are encouraged to join the server! We have a variety of channels available, ranging from bug reports to feedback to voice channels for teamed gameplay.
A number of Realm Royale developers are also present in the channel, giving you more direct access to interact with the team. We love to talk to our players!
To celebrate Realm Royale’s movement to Steam, the Realm Royale Twitch, Mixer, and Steam Store Page will conduct a continuous, 130+ hour stream! This stream will feature dozens of developers at Hi-Rez Studios, as well as four awesome streamers from the Hi-Rez community!
The party won’t stop! From 10:00 AM EDT Tuesday, June 5th through Sunday, June 10th, we will be streaming Realm Royale all hours of the day! Stop by, say hello, and join us for the longest continuous stream in Hi-Rez history!
