First of all, I want to start by saying a big thank you for all the feedback and reports to make the game and the community better. With this update, we want to address a couple of things. One is additional character balance and general control, and the other is addressing a cheating issue.
Game Play Updates [General]
Sprinting Speed Now you can sprint 10% faster than before. The increase slightly differs from character to character.
Melee Headshot Damage All melee damage bonus on head has decreased from x2.0 to x1.25
Strafing Speed It’s now 20% slower than before.
Invert Y axis Now we support Y axis. For those of you who requested for some additional key mapping like the keypad, mouse side buttons and so on, we are now developing those and you will be able to have that at least in May. Thank you very much for your patience in advance.
Sound You will not hear character’s vocal-sound effect for being hit every single time but every second, so that it wouldn’t sound like….. something else.
C4 Now you can sprint while holding the C4
[Phoenix] We’ve found that Phoenix’s offensive ability to finish an enemy seems to be not enough compared to what he’s capable of for the defense. So, we’ve adjusted his offensive ability & mechanism a little bit.
M870 - Maximum ammo increased from 5 to 8
Tactical Shield - Left-click-attack can hit two enemies at the same time. - Hit Judgement Right click attack now matches better with its motion.
[Rumble Jack] We want Rumble Jack to be a character with higher difficulties but also with higher chance to make the more playful situation. So, we added a couple of more mechanics to be so, hopefully.
Sticky Grenade - Now it sticks even to allies as well. Your teammates won’t get damage from that though. - When it hits Phoenix with his shield, it will drop right in front of the shield instead of getting bounced.
Barricade - You can move as soon as you installed the Barricade(There was a little delay)
[Killjoy] As we pulled up some data to check Killjoy’s performance, Dual Beretta’s headshot difficulties and damage bonus of Karambit was a bit too good. We think that high performance with easy control is not a good way to reward skilled players, so his abilities got adjusted a bit.
Dual BERETTA - Recoil after 3 first shots got increased
Karambit - Damage decreased by about 15%
[Natasha] Not much of changes of her from this update. But we are doing some experiments on her shooting mechanics like a charging system and so on to find the best sniping experience.
Agent Pistol - It starts with 10 bullets when respawned.
[Papi] We designed him to be a mid-range specialist and offender but his M4 damage didn’t help him much to be so. Now he can confront enemies more actively with confidence.
Character - HP increased from 180 to 210.
M4 Black - Damage increased from 15 to 17 - Basic Shooting Range decreased from 20m to 12m - Effective Shooting Range decreased from 25m to 20m
Special Force Pistol - It starts with 15 bullets when respawned.
System/UI changes
User Report System for cheating It's not fancy, yet could be a temp solution for an instant report. It works like this :
You found a cheater or a suspect.
Type /report
Then you will see an index of each user in the room and cheating types to report. So type this. "/report [userindex] [cheating type]
Done. Dev will look into those users according to its frequency. The more reports on a specific user, the higher chance of him/her gets kicked out.

UI Flickering in the middle of the battle.
Flash bang effect from spectator mode lasts forever
Papi doesn't get self-damage for his Shark Grenade
Occasional failure of changing region servers.
Well, that's it for this update. And next week, we'll add a map for the Domination mode. It's called Nuke.
And new character Bigboy will be given to the CBT event participants who completed the mission. Estimated update date is May 9.

May is coming huh? The followings are what we are planning to update in May. Some can be added or removed depending on your feedback and a situation. But we wanted to let you guys have at least some idea of what dev team is up to.
New character Bigboy He is a reeeaal deal for taking care of multiple enemies at the same time.
Character pick limitation system So no more 5 Natashas, 4 Killjoys. Still testing to find the right number.
Balance Patch Based on your feedback and the data we pulled out, we are going to make an additional balance patch soon.
Solo rank pre-season This is a pilot season to check everything in Rank Game work fine.

Dear Community
We are going to have a quick fix for Battle Servers as they got crashed a couple of time for last 2 days. Your battle will be closed while fixing it but it won't take too long. It may take few minutes for each region server.
In-game notice will be announced too. Thank you very much.
We are going to reboot the Battle servers in order to resolve hitbox issues.
It doesn't really seem to be about the hitbox itself but more about ping differences between regions. We've already applied the new battle server to EU server and got some positive feedbacks. So now we are going to apply it to every battle server. Please expect a disconnection. The new battle server application may take a few minutes.
We are going to reboot the EU Battle server in order to resolve hitbox issues.
It doesn't really seem to be about the hitbox itself but more about ping differences between regions. Based on that hypothesis, we are going to change some refresh rate of the battle server. EU players, please let us know if you feel better at Battle after the reboot.
We are going to have a maintenance in order to update some balance patch and mode condition adjustments.
Patch Note
Balance adjustment for Natasha
We’ve kept our eyes on Natasha to see if she performs as we intended. But we found that our sniper players’ skill set was a way better than we thought which results in her dominance in many battles. So, we’ve adjusted her a bit more, so that only players with higher skill sets will be able to perform one-shot-one-skill.
Damage bonus on chest decreased from x1.5 to x1.0
Mode adjustment
Winning a round or a match by completing the mission is one of the most exciting moments of Battle Carnival. However, we’ve noticed that a lot of matches were ended by time-out. Therefore, we slightly adjusted match time and some other rules to offer better play experience.
Domination Mode
Battle Time increased from 10 minutes to 12 minutes.
Demolition mode
Win condition changed from winning 5 Rounds to winning 6 Rounds
The maximum number of team members increased from 5 players to 6 players.
Attacking/Defending team switch change from 4th round to 5th round.
Bug Fix
Unnecessary CPU resource consumption issue has been resolved.
