We started off as gamers with a dream to create a feature-rich game that we loved in other games. As a result, we started working on BattleBit with little prior game development experience, zero budget, and community. You have witnessed firsthand the dedication and effort we put into making this game a reality.

Before the early access journey begins, we're hosting a final 48-hour playtest starting on June 9th. It's going to be our last event, and your last chance to try out BattleBit before the Early Access launch. In preparation for this grand event, we're officially stopping further regular playtests until Early Access.

First of all, we would like to thank everyone who has joined our playtest a couple of weeks ago. Albeit short, we managed to obtain a lot of feedback from our players. We are currently hard at work adding some of the requested features while smashing those pesky bugs that some players encountered during their gameplay.
Our next public playtest will start on February 20th. Until then, we are not restricting access to the playtest, so even though you are not able to play in servers, you can still hop on to the single-player shooting range and test out the weapons and customized attachments.

There have been quite a lot of messages asking questions about some of the important stuff as our player base spiked in numbers in the last few weeks. So I'll try to address some of them here.
Is this game going to be Free-To-Play?
The answer to this question is, no. We're planning to release the game into early access with a 14.99 USD price tag, however, in countries where Valve (Steam) supports regional pricing, we'll do our best to accommodate them.
How many people are developing this game?
We only have three developers;
- MrOkiDoki - Lead Developer and Programmer - Vilaskis - Level Designer, Level 3D Artist - TheLiquidHorse - Weapon, Vehicle and Armor 3D Artist
Is there a singleplayer campaign/bots planned?
No.
Is there going to be any microtransactions in the game?
No. However, in the future way after Early Access, we'll look into possibilities of DLCs and Supporter Packs.
Will we be able to host our own community servers?
Yes, we are hoping to give the ability to host servers to our players sometime in the Early Access period.
Will there be modding tools? How about Steam Workshop?
Hopefully, it will be an eventuality. We would like to see players create their own mods and content for the game in the future. We're hoping to add this feature sometime at the beginning of the full release.
BattleBit has been in development for quite some time, and whilst we've wanted to strive for the hardcore community, we've noticed it's not a path that will help strengthen our community. We have decided that we will be transitioning from a hardcore perspective of the game to a more casual shooter. Now for those hardcore players... we're very sorry for the change but we will definitely help cater future updates towards both sides of the community as best as possible. A little sneak peak of some changes that will be made to the game are Attachment Unlocking for your Account instead of for each round of a match, Attachment Skins, Weapon Gadgets, Ranking System and so on. A lot of changes will be taking affect within Build 100.80 that will be used to reach more of a casual player base. 'Apply' button is now functional. BitLog Mail Bug is fixed. BitLog adding same friend bug fixed. Loading bar when you load into the server is synced to what's going on behind the scene. 'Connecting' screen is synced to what's actually happening. A bug where you can spawn at the enemy's bases is gone, hopefully. Double spawn fixed. Double Same Player At Scoreboard fixed. English.lang has been revised, thanks to our handsome Moderator ErikzWaffle! Spawning at the end of the map at spawn fixed (probably fixed?) RPG-7 no longer fires when you're in menus. Binoculars UI being persistant after switching equipments is no more. Latency when syncing messages on server side when you die is eliminated. Rally points (RP) no longer make you fly. Friendly icon now shows everytime. Friendly icon now fades. Terrain impact particles now display properly. Optics materials re-done. Scopes now work properly with DeepSky Haze.

VoIP added! Took Oki 10 tries though. 'B' to chat in squad via radio, 'Caps Lock' to chat locally, meaning you can be heard in certain distance radius by anyone. VoIP indicator included. New map: Sandy Sunset, 4km² lush hills. UTF-8 is now supported. This means more characters (and thus languages) support! You will now see your cursor right after you die. 1 weapon point to start everyone off with at the start of the round (experimental)

Master Server database has been remastered. New main menu! New intro screen! Optics now work the same way as the iron sights (hold 'Shift' to zoom). Bearing compass HUD is now bigger. Lads with lower resolution screens can read properly, finally. Only one Recon class per squad allowed, from two. Class points req. are decreased. (Details to be updated) You can no longer use the Squad Menu when you're swimming or incapcacitated. TCP timeout is now 60 seconds, so you won't get that pesky 'Connection Lost' screen as much anymore. Wakistan and Basra have been updated. New friendly icons on map.
I am happy to announce that BattleBit is now in Open Alpha state, you can join our Discord and ask a moderator to get your Alpha key to play the game on Steam for FREE.
Remember that this will be Alpha version and servers might not be up 24/7.
