Are you new to The Escapists 2? Do you need any tips to get you started on your escapes? Or do you just need somewhere to link friends to when they first start playing? If any of these apply to you, then perhaps The Escapists 2 Guide to Freedom is just what you need!

This guide and FAQ is not going to teach you how to escape every prison, but does include some tips and tricks that should help you on your way. Discovery is half the fun after all, so we didn't want to spoil everything.

Hey everyone

A lot of you have been asking for The Escapists 2 on mobile devices and today we’re super excited to confirm that it is indeed coming. It’s called The Escapists 2: Pocket Breakout and will be available on iOS, Android and Amazon phones and tablets. You won’t even have to wait long, as it is launching in just two weeks on January 31st!

At its core, it’s The Escapists 2 you know and love. We will, however, be rolling it out slightly differently, with additional content being added over time.

At launch, you’ll get 5 prisons to escape from:
Precinct 17 (the tutorial)
Center Perks 2.0
Rattlesnake Springs
K.A.P.O.W Camp
Area 17

The five remaining base game prisons will all be added over time completely free of charge, giving you a continuous reason to dive back in. We’ll have more details about additional content roll-out in the weeks and months to come.

The Escapists 2: Pocket Breakout launches with drop-in/drop-out local multiplayer allowing you to play with fellow escapists each on their own mobile or tablet device. This allows you to very easily jump between solo-play and co-op any time you want!



If you’d like to show off your love for The Escapists 2, we’ve created some free wallpapers for several mobile and tablet devices, that you can download right here.

If you want to be ready for January 31st, we’ve made pre-registrations (or pre-orders) available on iOS and Android. This will notify you when the game is available, and – if you have automatic downloads enabled – will automatically download the game at launch, so you can start your escape as quickly as possible.

One of the biggest events in the gaming calendar, The Game Awards, is fast approaching and we’re extremely proud to see that not just one but TWO Team17 releases have been nominated for awards this year!

First up, chaotic co-op cooking game Overcooked! 2 has been nominated for Best Family Game, while pinball-Metroidvania Yoku’s Island Express is up for Best Debut Indie Game!

It means so much to the hard-working people at the Team17 studio, as well as our Games Label partners at Ghost Town Games and Villa Gorilla to be recognised in these categories, but we’d be over the moon if they won. Maybe we’re biased, but we think they deserve it!

How you can help!
The Game Awards winners are decided by a mix of independent judges and fan votes, and in the case of Best Debut Indie Game – in which Yoku’s Island Express is running – the category is 100% decided by fans.

We want to spread the word about these two great games and encourage more people to play them, and we can’t do it without you! So if you’ve played either of these gems and would like to help out then please head to The Game Awards website and cast your vote!

Please note that it is possible to vote once per 24 hours (if you’re feeling super passionate about the awards) and doing so will increase the chances that your game of choice wins. So too will taking advantage of the option to share your choice to social media when prompted to do so.
