Hotfix v0.571

• Craftable vehicle "The Spinner," is back in-game! Craft a Landing Pad for your Land Claim to enable vehicle crafting options. Make use of the Mine and Iron Refinery located in major shires to craft this vehicle. Can also be outfitted with a Booster Drive for long distance travel!
• Several fixes for weather and fog not removing properly when leaving a planet.
• Bug fix for Fuel storage in vehicles, occasionally causing the vehicle to revert to no fuel.
• Revised third person camera for Land Vehicles.
• Beta Prairie Water detail increased.

Game Update v0.570

Land Vehicles
• New physics system for all Land Vehicles.The system uses wheel colliders that now work as intended on planets. This is a big step up, the wheel colliders allow much more precise control and allow rolling up gutters and other steps.
• Also some modifications to Land Vehicle meshes.
• Some improvements to Headlights in Land Vehicles and also implemented being able to toggle lights with L key.
• Improved tire smoke effects in vehicles.

Air Vehicles
• Air Vehicle Waypoints: Vehicle waypoints show with player name, if the ignition is on. While on planet they are visible from 15km and in space visible for 500km (requires network testing).
• Networked speed better in ships and ensure the correct FX are playing for all passengers.
• Thruster changes according to networked speed.
• Booster starts and turns off for all passengers.
• Burn up FX starts and turns off for all passengers.
• Camera shake turns on and off for all passengers.
• Added culling distance to vehicles to ensure FX code isnt running on vehicles in other locations.
• Adjusted simulation speed on all thrusters to reduce flickering when travelling at a decent speed.
• Fixed an issue where pre warp fx would not disable if the player exits boost mode before its ready.
• Bug fix with air vehicle thrusters not displaying on network.

Misc
• Weather enabled properly on Janson and Beta Prairie. This is a first pass on weather which will become more advanced in time. It has a chance to change Weather States on the network every 8 mins. Clear Sky more common than foggy or rain/blizzards. Can all be tweaked to perfection over time!
• Waypoints added to every planet-side ferry port throughout the system. For planets they activate at 100km, and moons 50km.
• Issue with global loot and storage containers storing the wrong value is resolved.
• Fix for Janson Frigate Mission Waypoint
• Foliage optimization - checkbox added to foliage data to disable specific foliage not to load when flying eg grass and stones.
• Tigon jungle audio loop added.
• Updated Network API to latest version.

Hotfix v0.569

• Improved squashed damage detection. At least one of the colliding objects must be moving and getting closer to player's center point.
• Resolved Collider issue on Janson Trees
• Increased collider activation distance in Janson's crystals.

Environment
• Janson rotated 90 degrees as well as Janson Orbital Station, due to Tutorial players having difficulties locating Tigon when exiting the atmosphere.
• Janson Ferry Adjustments, due to the new station position the Ferry enters and exits from the hangar facing the planet now. Landing and Takeoff nodes have been rotated 180 degrees to ensure no weirdness when landing and taking off.
• Bootleggers Camp- Added colliders that were missing to wood benches, swapped out a floor so ground litter does not appear to be floating, added a bench to sit on.
• The Marshall: props, NPCs, Mech's, layout and collision fixes, hull mesh adjustments.
• Beta Prairie Procedural Villages: Added missing colliders to tin benches at Well POI.
• Artificial gravity adjustments in Titan.
• New music in Orbital station.

Tutorial
• Secondary Mission 'Ship Service' disabled if you die or log out, so the player can receive again when progressing through tutorial.
• Added tool-tip when exiting to 0G in Titan and removed that same tool-tip from Ferry.
• Tutorial vehicles now expire in 2 hours of inactivity instead of 10 minutes

Vehicles
• Created TigonFrigate to replaced TigonFighter for the Abandoned Hangar section of the tutorial.
• Speed adjustments to Rovers and some small optimizations.
• Fixed player being able to go to pilot seat while sleeping (thus breaking stuff).

Misc
• Implemented squash damage, for example, when you are squashed by an elevator.
• Music optimizations.
• Changes to some audio settings.
• Fixed issues with ship bullets that would slowdown and get slower than the ship itself.
• Oxygen damage while respawning should be resolved
• Foliage spawn code changed to take planets rotation into account when calculating a position

Game Update v0.566

This update has not required a database wipe.

UI
• Flaw resolved in crafting system where it would only read from the first stack of items found, which caused complications with non stackable items and items split within multiple stacks
• Amount required per item added to crafting window
• Fixed some cases where new UI code stopped responding after recent performance measures.
• Foliage view distance sliders : decreased max distance on Horizon and Far Distances which were a lot higher than actually required.

Environment
• Delta Outpost upgraded with a Mine and Refinery plus several new roads
• Procedural villages added to Janson to replace the existing small POIs which loaded in randomly.
• Grafton, Delta Shire - several fixes and cleanup in this town.
• Grave stones added behind Redberry church

Misc
• All NPC colliders adjusted ingame. Also NPC colliders are adjusted automatically depending on if they are standing by or sit down.
• Fix for bug where the player would not be able to jump sometimes. It happened because player would remain in a permanent jump state if hitting something while jumping and never leaving the ground.

• Enabled OpenGL as secondary API to try to deal with those that have issues with AMD GPUs.

Hotfix v0.561

Keybinding
• Default action key changed to [F] to avoid clashing with zero-gravity controls.
• 'Hold [E] to pickup' removed and replaced with a Secondary [X] to pickup. (applies to sleeping bags and other base components)
• Free Cursor / Look key changed from [F] to [G]
(the above key binds can be changed via options menu to your liking!)

Inventory
• Inventory slots in bag are doubled from 50 to 100, as bags were filling up quite fast.
• Issue resolved with Equip and Weapon slots not being cleared entirely when removing an item.
• Drag/Equip issues with Weapon slots are resolved.
• 5th Weapon slot is now integrated (no longer just a UI visual!)
• Overlaps with item description when hovering over an item are resolved.
• 5 second production time added for Shredding so it`s not instant

Misc
• Various horse issues resolved in movement, animations plus optimizations.
• Revised some tooltip texts.

• Many texture optimizations for planets, props and foliage
• Planet terrain textures optimized up to 90% on some worlds!

• Fog applied to planets with atmospheres, which changes color and density depending on the planet & time of day. This will enable the use of weather systems in the near future.
• Adjusted the height of the elevators so no jump is needed to ride.

Vehicles
• Reduced fuel consumption in ships.
• Increased max booster speed in ships.
• Showing more specific text when a vehicle runs out of fuel and some refactoring.
• When a ship runs out of fuel audio now cancels properly, aswell as warp speed effects, and engine disables.
• Changed the way vehicle exit works with a server call. passenger information now stored on server rather than vehicle owner.
• Implemented automatic engine turn off after landing.
• Redone command panel buttons for airships: now they are toggles, they remain highlighted if the button is on, their actions are handled through event listeners.
• New tooltip in tutorial when air vehicle automatically interrupts boost mode when approaching a planet.
• Fixed issue where fuel would stop being consumed while the pause menu is open, even if the ship is still moving.
• Several fixes to some functions, like stopping the ship when approaching a planet and particle effects, that would not work correctly if not in the pilot seat.
• Fixed: player was able to shoot while walking around the ship.
• Not allowed to shoot while in cruise or boost mode to avoid precision errors. Not necessary to be able to shoot at those speeds anyway.
• Improved bullet sound handling and some optimizations.
• Workaround to fix the ship movement going much faster when not in the pilot seat.
• Airships now turn ignition off after being on ground during a second.

Environment
• Updated various structures around Redberry, plus several optimizations.

• Fixed body sim to regenerate health when in hazard, but have 100 protection.
• Hunger reverted to previous values but will keep a lookout for this on steam when build goes live.
• Spawn screen will now show your recommended spawn location by default, if playing the tutorial.
• Fixed Nagus NPC throwing errors when trying to completed sidequest.
• Hazard and cold protection added to atmosphere area's.
• All buildings in Raleigh and Delta Shires are updated with protection from hazards, with shapes fitted to each building/POI shape. Everything updated except for the makeshift shanty's, plus some misc optimizations across the POIs.
• crafting window cleaned up to stop confusion, and display information better.
• crafting list now shows items that you cannot craft darker, so items that you can craft stand out a lot better.

Improved interaction with beds and lockers inside ships:
• More precise interaction area.

• New jumping and grounding code. Reacts correctly when holding the jump key, should work better in general, and even you can bounce of any surface in 0G mode.

• New! Satchel item added for additional carry weight, only requires 4 ScrapCloth to craft.

• Shred-able options added to items, and changed the way shredding an item works.
• Every item that you would expect to be able to shred, has been enabled.
• Shredding no longer gives a hard limit of 3, but a random amount of cloth back to the player.

• Dedicated server disabling menu correctly again.
• Issue with server resolved where it would not load if there was a corrupted base piece or something in the database.
• Bug with using Campfire, Workbench etc fixed.
• Campfires, Sleepingbag's & etc can be placed in the world again, a bug is resolved that caused these items to disapear when placed.

Quests
• Redesigned Titan antennas for Repair quest.
• Janson orbital side quest back in-game, following the completion of new Orbital Station.
• Fixed quest 'We're all hoarders' in which a bug was preventing completion of the side quest.

Misc
• Increased NPC jaw movement values.
• Fixed tutorial tooltip to reflect the new running/sprinting controls.
• The player is no longer allowed to Sprint when encumbered.

• Major issue with Ferries not working is resolved.
• Upgraded Orbital Station: several sections fixed and exterior sections added.

Spawn Screen
• Spawn screen upgraded with map integration, more info per region and also any mission objectives for an area you have selected.
• Dying and respawning during the tutorial will now take you to the Spawn Screen, with a marker added to direct tutorial players to correct spawn point

Performance
• Adjustments for LOD ranges on densely populated planets
• Culling implemented for Asteroid System to greatly improve performance

Environment
• Temperature added to all planets. Cold damage only occurs when Oxygen is present, otherwise 'no oxygen' damage takes preference, so therefore cold damage is only on Janson currently.
• Titan Generation Ship retextured
• Improvements in atmosphere entry effects in several ships.
• Redberry Train Station: Layout improvements, fixed collisions, fixed some invisible objects, repositions ferry vendors and their waypoints.
• Platform and defensive walls added for cover while using the Iron Refinery.
• Fixed some shadow glitches that happened in the new Orbital station


Tutorial
• TutorialSpaceSuit added - it is granted once by officer Joy, it cannot be sold, dropped or stored in container. It is not dropped on death and it is removed when you complete the tutorial. It functions in every way like a normal space suit. It also weighs nothing.
• Tooltips now show buttons the player has actually configured in settings menu, but only some tooltips have been updated for this system so far.
• New tooltip system plus tooltip visual style upgraded. Tooltips now come in 2 types, info-boxes which require the player to stop and read the tip (used for longer more important info) and regular tooltips, which operate the same way as before.
• Implemented a Show Tooltips setting in general options.

Misc
• Ferry movement and rotation smoothing
• Fixed issue where the ferries wouldn't finish the final rotation before landing.
• Fix for vehicle bug when passenger leaves vehicle (requires network testing)
• Fix for not all clothes dropping properly on death (requires network testing)
• Sleep won't be triggered while in crouch or prone mode to avoid issues.
• Refactoring and optimizations in player action states.
• Adjustment of player's position while sleeping in a sleeping bag.
• Spinner Vehicle retextured
• Added baseball hat to Miriam and improved its material.

We have a whole bunch of fixes for this patch. We're putting more focus into resolving all the issues over content for the time being, so you will see more of these updates over the next couple weeks.

Changelog v0.541

Environment
• Abandoned Hangar: The area has been recreated to fix several issues in previous structure.
• New Raleigh: New POIs added to fill out the town a bit more.
• Grafton: New layout for the town and filler buildings have been removed.
• Janson: 80% small rocks removed on planet which were causing issues when driving.
• Beta Prairie: Environment and color adjustments
• Orbital Station: New station created to replace the old generic POI used. It's much bigger and now looks like a space station. Implemented at the 5 orbital station positions around Stars End.
• Titan: Added fill light to better illuminate Lt Diesel. Less reverb in cryo room. Lowered the volume of some ambient sounds & fixed NPC that was being blocked by another NPC.
• Kallus: Lowered volume of Miriam's voice.
• Hopper Crater: Removed some lootable containers, added Mercantile Walkers. Fixed some small layout and collision issues.
• Delta Shire: Adjustments to roads and road block signs around shire.

Fixes
• Improvements to the movement of the ferry when landing after buying a ferry pass. Now it's interpolated, avoiding abrupt movements. Still more work to be done here.
• Changes for vehicle + horse positioning on the network when getting out, in order to stop offsets occurring
• Issue with using GlobalLootTerminal resolved
• /UI Chat Command to disable UI fixed and now allows movement.
• When AIs receive damage, they now receive data of which player did the damage. This makes more precise and efficient the AI attacking to the correct player.
• Implemented volume adjustments on NPC's
• Janson Frigate waypoint issue resolved.
• Added another NPC to speak to on Titan, placed inside the Hangar, in order to finish Light Repairs quest.
• Ground vehicles: lowered engine volumes, adjusted falloff ranges, increased max speed (friction was preventing rovers from moving at the previous max speed).
• New idle animation for players at loading screen/character creation
• Waypoint should no longer show during intro cutscene.
