Version 1.22

Hey Explorers, we have details on the latest patch for PixARK, which is already live, and it have some pretty exciting news! Along with a few bug fixes, mod support is officially available with the PixARK Mod Kit! For further details check out the full patch notes below.

We have a few details on the dev kit, and how Explorers can start creating their very own mods!
  • The PixARK Mod Kit can now be downloaded from the Epic Games Launcher and mods can be shared using the Steam Workshop.
  • Explorers will also be able to view and download mods created by the community by visiting the PixARK Workshop.
  • By subscribing to mods, notifications will be sent out automatically when an update or news is released about your favorite mods! Explorers can access the Steam Workshop via the in-game button, and then select mods to download and subscribe to.
  • Explorers can also decide which mods they’d like to implement in their hosted dedicated servers and LAN experiences. Other Explorers who join these dedicated server and LAN games will automatically download the mods chosen and have them implemented in their clients.
We’re really exciting to bring the PixARK Mod Kit to our community. We know there are a ton of Explorers out there that have amazing ideas for PixARK, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds. We’re planning on releasing more in depth information on how to access and use the PixARK Mod Kit in the near future.

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where PixBlocks would randomly glitch into the terrain and disappear when being thrown.
  • Fixed an issue where defeated Explorers would lead to equipment loss when resource durability was set to 0 in single player or dedicated server.

Hello Explorers!

We had some great submissions by truly inspired interior decorators. First, let’s start with the winner of the community vote: Ertosi!

Here is what Ertosi wrote for his submission:

Welcome to the Lava Throne! All are welcome in these lands, so make yourself at home. The Royal Gallery lines the sides of the upper floors where art taken from various ruins is displayed. The lower levels house the dining hall and kitchens to the left and the Fire Garden is off to the right, but is still under construction.

Next, we have our own personal picks, submitted by Zueljin and Pixlriffs.

You may recognize Pixlriffs work in a work-in-progress post on Reddit! Here is what he had to say about his submission:

I've been having a blast finding out what materials work well together and gathering artifacts from relic ruins around the world. My favourites end up in this dining hall. The golden floor lamps from the pyramid ruins keep the place well lit even at night, and I'm probably most proud of getting the candles, bottles and bones to sit right on those dark wood tables. (Those are dodo bones, don't worry. I toss the leftovers to the direwolf.)

And finally, Zueljin walks us through his inspiration:

Ever since I played my first block building game, I would wonder into awesome builds that were empty and lifeless. I started using items and blocks to emulate interior decor that you would see in today's homes. I typically get inspiration from rooms that you see in modern and contemporary houses and try to scale them to a reasonable space that feels right in the game. In my pixark base, I started with an underground workshop and went onto a living space with quite a few heavily decorated rooms. The project is still underway but I plan to work on it until it's perfect.

Congratulations to the three winners; please keep an eye on your email for a PixARK Steam key to give to a friend! We would also like to thank everyone who submitted their interior designs and everyone who continues to play and make PixARK great. Until next time!
