Here are the notes for today's Patch!

New Feature: Trophy Lodge - Spring Creek Manor

Showcase your best animals in your very own Trophy Lodge. Plaques and full body mounts of different sizes allow you to present your harvests in a variety of different poses. Invite your friends to your Trophy Lodge or travel to theirs in Single and Multiplayer.
When in a reserve, open the Pause Menu, navigate to the new “Trophy Lodge” Button in the left navigation strip. Create a new Trophy Lodge from the available Lodges - Spring Creek Manor being the first available lodge. Select the newly created Trophy Lodge and “Go to Lodge” in order to travel there.
Once in your lodge, you can switch between “Edit” and “View” mode and can follow the on-screen controls.

Please note that creating a Trophy Lodge requires ownership of the Trophy Lodge DLC.
You can travel to other player’s lodges without owning the DLC.
Once a Trophy Lodge is created but the ownership is revoked, you can still travel to your created lodge but access to the Edit mode is denied until ownership is restored.


New Feature: Trophy Manager

When harvesting an animal, you are now able to taxidermize or save it for later. Taxidermy comes with a cost but you can save the animal for later taxidermy.
When in the Trophy Lodge, you can access your Trophy Manager to taxidermize saved animals, retrieve already put up animals or simply browse your collection.

Trophy Manager, Taxidermy or saving animals does not require any additional ownership and is granted with access to the base game.

  • Fixed issue of Roosevelt Elk changing size when idle or walking
  • Holding Breath no longer toggles sprinting
  • Fixed issue of Red Deer mating call not being audible
  • Fixed issue of European Bison not creating HUD element nor audio when calling
  • Fixed issue of not being able to hit Blue Wildebeest’s brain
  • Fixed issue of the wounded deer not spawning correctly during Fleischer - Returning the Favor mission
  • Fixed issue of antlers & horns becoming offset if the animal was harvested in a multiplayer game by a non-shooter
  • Fixed issue of Gemsbok overextending neck when reaching to the side while eating
  • Fixed issue of Snort Wheeze caller listed as compatible for Mule Deer
  • Fixed issue of several animals’ fur variation missing in the Harvest Screen
  • Fixed issues with binoculars in 3rd person animations
  • Fixed visual issue when going from stand to prone with Cacciatore 12G while aiming down sights
  • Bolt-action rechambering animation no longer plays when firing SA shotguns with Muscle Memory 1
  • Fixed issue of shooting Red Deer in the skull hurting its foot
  • Reintroduced animation for changing zeroing leaf on KING 470DB
  • Unlocking Zeroing no longer requires both Breath Control and Steady Hands but only one of them
  • Fixed animation issue with Cacciatore 12G when chambering next shell after aiming down sights
  • STRECKER 20GA no longer plays leaf animation when changing the zeroing
  • Fixed issue with being able to endlessly chamber bullets on the Cacciatore 12G while aiming with Manual Chambering being switched on
  • Fixed visual issues when using Deer Grunt Caller

As you all know, Trophy Lodges are soon to be released into the game. Because this is such an important release, we would love to get your feedback on the feature and what better way to do it than with an Open Beta?

To continue our "Trailblazer Programme" we are offering a new Open Beta for the Trophy Lodge and encourage those of you who want to participate to share your thoughts and feedback on our latest animal addition.

Please note that the Trophy Lodge will be a paid DLC upon release and this is the first time that we are able to do an Open Beta where everybody will be able to access for free. This will change with release.

The Trailblazer Beta, what does it entail?
It’s a chance for you to, during a limited period, experience changes to the game before they are technically “live”. It’s also a way for us to test updates without “committing” them to the main version of the game.

How long does the Trailblazer Beta run for?
The Beta will be available from now, Friday March 29th, until Monday April 1st

How can I get involved?
Right-click theHunter: Call of the Wild in your Steam library and click “Properties.'' A window will open, then click the tab at the far right labeled “Betas”, you will then come to a window that looks like the one below:

Please enter the following code in the box (without the quotation marks): “CalloftheWild”, then CLICK “Check Code” (just hitting enter won’t work). You should now notice that your game will start an update, this will be the Open Beta build installing.

Note: The download can potentially be large, and this will need to be re-downloaded as you switch between the live/Open Beta clients, so those on metered internet connections please bear that in mind.

So what happens to my old build and save files?
Nothing. When you start the Open beta client your game will be entirely “fresh”, you’ll have no save game, cash, skills etc. But don’t worry, this has NO effect on your “live” version of the game, you can switch back and forth at any time (see the next point below).

Note: We DO have a means for you to get up and running quickly in the Trailblazer Beta. Hit “Escape” and go to the Hunt Club Beta menu, there’ll be a reward there where you can claim a large sum of credits, a big XP boost and weapon score points in all categories.

I’ve had enough of testing the Open Beta for now, how do I go back to my normal version of the game?
Do the initial same steps as when installing the Open Beta, but when you get to the Beta tab you should not fill in a code. Instead in the drop-down box saying “Select the beta you would like to opt into:” you simply pick “None - opt out of all beta programs” and your client will run a small update. After that, you can play the normal version of the game again. You can switch back and forth between the live version and Open Beta/Trailblazer Programme at any time during the period just by using that dropdown menu.


How do I provide feedback or report issues I’ve found during the Open Beta/Trailblazer Programme?

What do you want us to test?
Yay, you’ve made it to the best part! Please see below the changelog for the Open Beta/Trailblazer Programme, this will give you some ideas about what to look at specifically when playing on it.

Note: You WILL need ownership to the relevant content on the live version of the game in order to test it in the Open Beta/Trailblazer Programme. For example, Vurhonga Savanna-specific content would require you owning that particular DLC. That being said, you can of course join a multiplayer hosted game on that reserve should you not own it yourself.

For this Open Beta, access to the Trophy Lodge will be free. Everyone can access the Trophy Lodge and experience it. Please note that this will change with official release as the Trophy Lodge will be a paid DLC.

We have addressed some issues after the Weapon Pack 2 release. We have seen more reports regarding other issues, but we wanted to get this update out as soon as possible.Today we have released an update (patch 1.32) with fixes for the following issues:

Patch 1.32 Patch Notes:
  • Fixed jittering when aiming down sights
  • Fixed issue of not being able to switch callers when prone
  • Fixed issue of holding breath not creating audio
  • Fixed issue with Red Raptor sights not zooming properly on shotguns
  • Fixed issue of infinite reloading on shotguns
  • Fixed issue of VIRANT KLASIKA looking the same as VIRANT EXPRESS
  • Fixed issue of .270 looking the same as Huntsman
  • Updated animal distribution on Parque Fernando

General In-Game Improvements (Free)

Gameplay
  • Pumas no longer freeze when alerted
  • Updated the texture on the Helios scope so it is less dark
  • Fixed alpha fault on Cinnamon Teal feathers
  • Fixed issue of losing equipment that has been placed in multiplayer when not being the host
  • Fixed issue with downed birds despawning before being harvested
  • Fixed issue with the camera bobbing up and down when not moving
  • Changing reserve from the shooting range no longer grants infinite ammo
  • Arctic Outfit no longer obscures iron sights on Caversham 12G when aiming
  • Fixed issue with Lion making few warning and mating calls
  • Changed the description of “Moby Deer” achievement to specify that albino deer must be harvested in Hirschfelden or Layton Lake
  • Renamed Storage, Locker and Inventory when using the Store in order to name it consistently

A brand new weapon pack has just been delivered to our wardens, and they’re excited to present an incredible combination of new world finesse and old-school reliability with the Grelck Drilling Rifle, the Solokhin MN1890, and the Mangiafico 410 / 45 Colt Revolver.

New Weapon Pack (Paid DLC)

  • New weapon: Grelck Drilling Rifle, a three-barreled combination gun that sports two side-by-side 16 gauge shotgun barrels atop a single rifle barrel chambered in 9.3x74R. The weapon is available in 3 color variations.
  • New weapon: Mangiafico 410 / 45 Colt Revolver, a versatile handgun that can be loaded with .410 shotshells or .45 Long Colt. The weapon is available in 3 color variations.
  • New weapon: Solokhin MN1890, a combat-tested rifle chambered in 7.62x54R. The weapon is available in 3 color variations.
    New scope: Falcon 3-9x44mm Scope for the Grelck Drilling rifle
