WINTER ARMY
Winter Army is Foxhole's big semi-annual update and includes a ton of game changing features like a new dynamic weather system, an overhauled artillery game, new weapon tech trees, a Regiments system, and much more!

DYNAMIC WEATHER EVENTS
Winter Army introduces a fully dynamic weather system into the persistent war. Weather varies in intensity and can affect one or more regions at a time, turning lush landscapes into snowy wastelands or muddy battlefields.

SNOW STORMS
Armies must now be equipped to fight in snow storms. Taking shelter, building fire pits, and deploying the right equipment are key to surviving the harsh conditions of winter. Snow storms can also freeze rivers, lakes, and other bodies of water, opening up new supply lines or attack routes.

RAIN STORMS
There are also Rain Storms, which will disrupt intelligence operations, limit artillery effectiveness, and cause other front line challenges that players must contend with.

ARTILLERY REVAMP
Winter Army includes a sweeping revamp of artillery in Foxhole.

NEW ARTILLERY
There are four new types of artillery being introduced, including both emplaced and field variants.

COLONIAL ARTILLERY

WARDEN ARTILLERY

ARTILLERY BASES
With deployable artillery and the existing modular bunker system, builders can now construct the artillery base of their dreams, complete with ammunition rooms for stockpiling hundreds of shells for bombardment.

NO MAN'S LAND
To compliment the new artillery game is a feature called No Man’s Land, which allows players to unleash devastating artillery bombardments transforming the very landscape of the world.

Bombardments can devastate grass, bushes, and even trees, turning a once beautiful landscape into a desolate no man’s land. Towns that have been under artillery fire over long periods of time eventually crumble into permanent ruins.

NEW WEAPON TECH TREES
Winter Army introduces dozens of new or redesigned weapons to the battlefield.

NEW SMALL ARMS
There are many new small arms weapons, some with new features such as burst shot rifles and secondary slot Submachine Guns that can be fired from tank commander positions.

ANTI-TANK WEAPONS
Since the Arms Race update last year, many of new armoured vehicles have been introduced into the game. To counter such threats, many new AT weapons have been added to infantry arsenel.

TRIPOD WEAPONS
Tripods allow for even heavier infantry weapons. Tripods require 2 player teams to deploy as the Tripod and Weapon must be carried separately. For the extra effort, Tripod weapons have superior range and damage over handheld variants.

NEW TANKS
It wouldn't be a big Foxhole update without the introduction of new tank classes.

COLONIAL MASS PRODUCED TANK
Designed for mass-production in Kraunia, this medium tank features a modular turret system for maximum versatility. The “Falchion” class features a powerful if understated, 40mm cannon.

WARDEN SCOUT TANK
This small tank is recently recommissioned to the Warden arsenal. It boasts high maneuverability and an antenna that allows for long-range communications during high-stakes recon operations.

REGIMENT SYSTEM
Regiments is a new organization tool that allow commanders to organize a permanent unit of players. This is the "clan" system that players have been waiting for. The Regiments system features support for tags, roles, dedicated chat channel, a real time view of regiment player status, and more.

Drummond Loscann 55c
This amphibious Light Utility Vehicle has been heavily modified to cross rivers and lakes with ease. Venturing out into the open sea is ill-advised, however.

This vehicle is the perfect partisan tool, allowing enemy backlines behind bodies of water to be infiltrated and sabotaged.

Balfour Wolfhound 40mm
This destructive short-ranged cannon is designed for direct engagement with enemy fortifications. The Wolfhound is fitted with reinforced shielding and a 40mm barrel.

R-5b “Sisyphus” Hauler
This variation of the standard R-5 Hauler is fitted with an improved suspension and axle system resulting in better overall handling. However, these improvements may not hold up under severe weather conditions.

This unique truck variant can boost it's speeds for short bursts of time, making it the perfect blockade runner.

UV-5c “Odyssey”
This simple, modified Utility Vehicle is fitted with a reinforced hatch to provide one crew member with increased visibility for intense recon operations.

This variant provides map intelligence and is heavily armoured, making it great for delivering emergency supplies to active front lines.

New Bridges
New drawbridge types have been added to the world. Each bridge has distinctive features, bringing more variation to prolonged bridge battles. In addition, several of these bridges now have two lanes which allow for traffic in both directions, which makes bridge crossing a smoother experience for supply line drivers.

Carrying Wounded Players
Live players that have been wounded on the battlefield can now be picked up and carried to a safe location. While a player is being carried, their death countdown timer will be paused, allowing them to be revived when they are brought to location behind friendly lines.

Tank Combat
Some new mechanics have been introduced to provide more tactical options during tank engagements.
Shot angles and range now play factor in tank armour penetration, making speed and maneuverability more important than ever before.

MASS PRODUCTION FACTORY
These massive Factories exist at the largest industrial towns in the world and are used to produce large batches of equipment cost efficiently. They are also able to produce large quantities of vehicles such as trucks and various tanks with less resources than usual.

STATIONARY CRANES
To help improve logistics workflows, Stationary Cranes can now be found in logistics towns and docks. These Cranes are larger version of the mobile crane, with further reach and a special Loading Area that's specifically designed for transferring equipment and resources directly into Shipping Containers from structures like Storage Depots and Refineries.

VEHICLE LOGISTICS
Thanks to the new Mass Production Factory, vehicles can now be produced in crates of 3. This not only allows logistics players to transport vehicles around the world more efficiently, but it also allows larger quantities of vehicles to be stored at depots for future operations.

BASE BUILDING TOOLS
Over the last few updates, players have been able to build larger and more complex bases using the new Bunker and Trench system. Several tools have been introduced to help players maintain their bases more effectively. First, additional maintenance statistics has been added to base tooltips, making it easier to for players to supply their structures. Second, a new type of supply, Bunker Supplies has been added to help keep Bunker networks up and running when regular supplies are short.

LOGISTICS CONTEXT MENU
A new context menu is now available on all logistics structures that enables more flexible and granular workflows to be performed. For example, players can now submit to stockpiles from multiple inventory sources not just one. Exact quantities of supplies can be distributed into bases using a new slider interface. These are just two of many examples of these new workflows.

BUNKER BASES
Bunker Bases is the big feature that we've been building towards since the introduction of Trench Warfare. It finally lets players build their own custom Forward Bases in the world in the form of fortified underground Bunkers. These Bunkers can be improved with Infrastructure to eventually become significant Strongholds in the world.

BUNKER INFRASTRUCTURE
Infrastructure allows defensive lines to "tech up" over time, enabling new defenses and capabilities to be unlocked within the network. Players can increase the rate of Infrastructure growth by building Infrastructure modifications like Bunk Beds, Lockers, Desks, Maps, and more. These modifications also allow players to visually customize their Bases over time.

GARRISON INFRASTRUCTURE
Garrison Infrastructure unlocks new types of AI structures over time, such as Howitzer or AT Gun Garrisons. The available Infrastructure modifications are: Bunks, Lockers, Dish Wash Station, Latrine, Kitchen, and Pantry.

COMMAND INFRASTRUCTURE
Command Infrastructure unlocks special capabilities and super weapons for Bunker Bases. For example, the Deployment Point Facility allows players to deploy direction to this base to quickly defend against enemy incursions. The available Infrastructure modifications are:
Workstation, Computer Module, Radio Station, Chalk Board, Strategic Map.

BUNKER RAMPS
The Ramp is a new modular structure that allows players to build access points from the surface to underground Bunkers.

SQUAD STORAGE
This is a new EXPERIMENTAL feature that we hope to expand on in coming updates. Squad Storage enables groups of players to securely stage Crates and Vehicles for logistics or combat operations. We hope this tool will add a sense progression and management to the logistics game that didn't previously exist.

SIGN POSTS
The Sign Post is a new sandbox tool that allows players to communicate to each other through physical signs built in the world.

REVAMPED BULWARK
The Bulwark environment assets have been completely redesigned from the ground up. This complements the Weathered Expanse keep asset refresh from the recent previous update. Players can now climb up into the Bulwark itself and use it as a defensive position to fire on incoming invaders.

REVAMPED LORE
The interface for viewing Lore in the game has been redesigned to support features like extra visuals, improved formatting, and pagination. Much of the Lore in the game has been revised to support this new interface.

A BRAND NEW YEAR
Welcome to our first update of the year. Now that we're back in the swing of things, expect us to return to our monthly update schedule. In the next two updates (Trench Warfare Part 2 & 3), we will be wrapping up the work that began with Update 32. After that we will be moving on to focus on other parts of the game like logistics. You can see our near term roadmap below.

If you are enjoying these updates, please take the time to leave us a review. Thanks!

NEW BUNKER STRUCTURES
As we continue to expand on the Bunker/Trench system, we're adding two new Garrison structures (AI defenses).

HOWITZER GARRISON
The Howitzer Garrison is the first AI based artillery in the game. However, it behaves differently from other defensive structures. While it has a very far detection range, it will only perform reaction fire to aggressors. It's designed to keep a Bunker safe from solo or small raiding parties attempting to attack with heavy ranged weapons like Mortars.

MACHINE GUN GARRISON
The MG Garrison is the Bunker equivalent of the Pillbox. It has a narrow field of view, but is capable of dishing out sustained rapid fire in a single direction.

TRENCH CONNECTOR
The new Trench Connector structure allows for a lot more flexibility when building Trench lines. It can resize itself dynamically to connect two Trench / Bunkers, allowing more organic looking Trench networks to be built. Check out the results in the screenshot below.

ADVANCED RANGEFINDER FACILITY
This new facility enables the Storm Cannon to fire across entire region borders in the world. It also extends the range of the artillery by 33%, allowing it to reach distant targets on the battlefield.
