Edit: Just released a patch that fixed the MSAA option not saving and a bug with roofs not being included with the default Copy setting
- added "free placement" mode, place any building block on any building block, this also ignores the Rust building 3.0+ restrictions
- Cancel Delete now allows for undoing the last 3 removals, this includes removing multiple parts at once, I'm slowly working towards a proper undo/redo system
- Options now includes an MSAA override (anti-aliasing setting) that uses the old default, the new temporal AA that Unity provides is not perfect
- Resource Count part list is minimized by default, added a close button at the top of the panel and removed the tier cost toggles
- any selected walls can be flipped in Edit mode with q / e
- Extend now works with floors
- using the remove key shortcuts in stability mode (when not in raid mode) actually removes now instead of just giving 0 stability
Changing the quality setting in-game is now possible. Shadows are the biggest performance killer so it's a good idea to use a lower setting with huge designs. More options to come.
- Good and Best quality setting now uses Temporal Anti-Aliasing
- Best setting now uses better quality shadows with longer distance
- Fastest setting now uses lower quality water shader
- improved FPS with the water shader
- fixed a really bad bug with stability mode and destroying parts with remove keys, sorry to anyone who lost work
- workshop list no longer reloads every time the panel is reopened, use the refresh button if you are subscribing while in the program
For new users, the Include Parts toggles (plus icons) adds associated parts with windows, doorways and frames. When it is enabled, clicking a part in the group below will include that part instead of changing to it. Using the swap similar shortcut "C", mouse 3 or pressing the number key will cycle through group parts to be included.
- Include parts option added for wall and floor frame
- replaced door tier selection on the build menu with regular part icons
- including deployables is now optional when using Copy or Copy Level
- changed some part key shortcuts after removing the pillar button
- extend tool now adds included parts (if toggled) for all parts with that option
Not what I wanted to be working on but it needed to be done. Use "allow overlap" to override the red block, might be time to change the name of that button. The 3.2 roof change still needs to be included plus some proximity checks with foundations.
The 3D scene has been converted into an island, what it should have been from the start. The terrain height hasn't been changed in the center and around the hills so most old saves won't be affected. If you did build out in the flood zone you can copy and paste back onto dry land.
TSAA didn't play nice with the new water shader so that quality option has been removed for the time being.
Boats can be placed on the water. Not sure if oxide copy-pasting is possible with these yet.
The new roof wall system from Rust has been added. - old saves won't have any automatic replacement roof walls - placed roofs can no longer be flipped - most conditional changes from Rust are included - one exception is if a roof wall no longer supports another part it should turn back into a triangle - more work needs to be done (as always)
The level selection tool has a couple new options. Before it would select anything within a height range of the original selection. Now it's possible to only add parts connected to the original selection at that level. Helpful with large bases. This currently doesn't add deployables to the selection.
With the "Up" option you could for example select one foundation and add the whole building to the selection.
I've also been working on some visual guides which is long overdue. These can be accessed from the online guide and from the Edit toggle. More will be added soon.
Other Changes: - roof and stair placement redblock is more accurate with Rust - moved the half snap toggle and it now cycles from enabled going up, down and then disabled - roofs now face inwards when placing on floors and foundations - the camera will no longer hit placement colliders when using interior mode - fixed lack of collisions while moving up and down in interior mode - optimized colliders - might have fixed a rare bug with redblock being stuck? - upgraded to Unity 2017.3
Still hope to add the new Rust roof changes this week, didn't want to delay this update any longer.
