Planet Coaster - BrettC_Frontier
The sun is shining, the leaves are green, and our entertainers have all packed their appropriate beach outfits. Chief Beef is getting ready for an epic barbecue party, Cosmic Cow has never sold this many ice creams before, and Miss Elly... is totally fine because she’s used to the desert heat!

We can only be rambling about one thing: our FREE Summer Update is coming! Announced today at E3, this all new seasonal fiesta is making its way to you on June 27, 2017. This update is our third major free update to Planet Coaster alongside December’s Winter Update and April’s Spring Update as well as numerous additional smaller updates bringing new languages, rides, collision toggles and much more.

Start this sunny season with a sizzling fireworks extravaganza! Celebrate your park’s milestones or dazzle your guests with explosive shows; the new Display Sequencer lets you customise and trigger up to 100 pieces (including animatronics and FX), so you can play around with a wide variety of fireworks that can even be choreographed to custom music! Endless fantastic spectacles are possible, but you can check out the fireworks trailer below for some initial inspiration:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PB2x_Q5Leg

Hype up your guests even more with Video Billboards! These new panels let you place your own textures and videos into your parks; we will explain more about how the billboards work when the update goes live on June 27, and those of you who don’t want to upload anything can choose from a selection of pre-recorded videos and stills that will be available in-game. Just imagine: you can play your own Commercial Break entry on repeat!

The new Ride Sequencer gives you all the control over your favourite rides, and you can personalise your wooden coasters even further with painted wooden supports! For that ultimate summer flair, we’re also releasing a host of celebratory scenery pieces, such as inflatables, flags, and bunting that can be customised to perfection.

We’re adding three new Scenarios to the Career mode: visit Miss Elly’s Diner, test your firework skills in the Goldmine Tower, or fly through the galaxy in Starship Hangar. And of course, we couldn’t go without expanding the coaster and ride family with eight new members! Say hello to five new coasters: the Gnarler (modern train on wooden supports), Viper One (multi-launch coaster), Power Up (compact coaster), De-Gen (21st century train on traditional looping track), and Bolt (modern boomerang coaster).
The Viper One and Power Up have a very special new feature as well: dual-direction launch stations! Send your guests flying forwards and backwards with this amazing new option!

As for the rides, we’ve got the Iron Claw (classic pendulum ride), Blackout (swinging ship on an inverted loop), and Sky Watcher (observation platform with rotating cabin). We can’t wait to see how you’ll incorporate these across your parks!

We will of course be implementing general improvements and bug fixes as well; you’ll be able to get all the information from the Update notes on June 27. We hope you’re as excited as we are for all this new content. Tune in to our Wednesday livestream on June 14 at 7PM BST with Ed and Bo to recap these announcements and play PlanEd Boster, and on June 21 with Bo and Sam Denney for a pre-update live build stream! Hope to see you all there!

Hi everyone!

Another small update for you just went live; in addition to tweaks and bug fixes, we have an exciting surprise for you all: an all-new flat ride!

The Pathos III is a pretty intense ride for its relatively small footprint; It’s twenty-three meters high, has three main rotating arms that also rotate around a central point and this is attached to a larger arm that is raised to almost 90 degrees, and also rotates! There are eight riders per arm that are suspended on each side. There are three rotation axis that spin the guests in all directions. This ride is only for the most hardcore thrill seeker!

We’ve also added the Go-Karts competition winning blueprint! Congratulations to TrickyPlaysGames for your awesome entry!

Thank you for all your meticulous bug reporting and constructive feedback. We’ve fixed some of your reports with regards to the signs and posters, and have added the option to disable terrain collision, which lets you manipulate terrain even more (through existing scenery and rides).

In addition to this small update, we have some big things coming your way! The team continues to work hard on the game, and we’ve got some exciting news to share with you at E3 on June 13th and 14th! On that Wednesday, we’ll host a special livestream to recap some of the announcements from E3, and the week after we will have another epic stream to show you some of the cool new content making its way to Planet Coaster in our next major update! Let’s get hyped!

UPDATE NOTES

New Ride
  • Pathos III

General Tweaks
  • Resurrected the original 'Pirate Sign - Pirate Village' and 'Pirate Sign - Toilet Wooden' as new scenery items
    • We are aware that adding custom text to these signs in update 1.2 caused issues with some blueprints. Please accept our apologies for this change!
  • Restored the security wall poster (Wall Poster 7 - Security) and poster stand (Poster Stand 7 - Security) from alpha
  • Blueprints that have intersecting parts inside them are now placeable, even if you do not have the 'Disable Scenery Collision' option enabled
  • Added the winning blueprint from the Go-Karts Competition -'Princess Amelie's Castle Karts' by TrickyPlaysGames. Congratulations!
  • Added an option to disable terrain collision. Players can now manipulate terrain through existing scenery and rides

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where signs that had been given custom text in a previous update could not be edited
  • Fixed an issue where the Speed (Go Karts) ride could not be opened after undo and redo actions
  • Fixed an issue where The Robotic Arm sign was re-named "Sci-Fi Sign - Robot Arm Small" to be consistent with the naming of the other signs.
  • General stability fixes and improvements

Hi coaster friends!

As you may or may not know by now, Planet Coaster had a sneaky cheat day today... Want to make your guests do something silly? No friction coasters? Or use the beloved TegidCam? Well, do we have the cheats for you!

With a little help from PCGamesN and YouTube friends Olli43, Silvarret, and MrMeola, we’ve slipped ten cheat codes into the game and they are live right now! Here’s a handy overview:

Bollard – User Controllable Go-Karts
Vroom vroom! Race around your tracks all by yourself with this amazing cheat!
How to activate: Rename the Go-Karts track to “BOLLARD” and select the first person ride cam mode of one of the karts. You can then use the W A S D keys to drive the kart yourself (don’t forget to honk with SHIFT!).

Andy Chappell – Increase speed on a kart for a designated guest
Get out of this chap’s way! This speed demon wants victory!
How to activate: Rename a guest to “ANDY CHAPPELL” before entering the ride, for that particular guest’s kart to go faster.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ksD_1iQVqg

Lockettman – Turn on physics for the Security Guard
Impressed by in-game coaster crashes? Let your security guard do the same to your park guests with this cheat.
How to activate: Rename a security guard to “LOCKETTMAN” to turn on physics which will cause guests to fly off when hit by the security guard during a criminal pursuit.

David Getley – Increase spawn rate of miscreants
Broken benches, chasing criminals, unhappy guests... Disturbances are getting out of hand!
How to activate: Rename a staff member to “DAVID GETLEY” to have an increased spawn rate for miscreants in your park. Think you’re up for the challenge?

Thanks to the amazing Olli43 for this hilarious video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0uzSifK7XVQ

James Taylor – Low coaster friction
Let your coasters go just a tad faster with this cheat – for science, of course.
How to activate: Rename a guest to “JAMES TAYLOR” to reduce coaster friction slightly.

Andy Fletcher – No coaster friction
For some real head-spinning action, use this cheat to remove coaster friction ALTOGETHER!
How to activate: Rename a guest to “ANDY FLETCHER” to remove coaster friction completely.

The wonderfully talented Silvarret shows us how it’s done in his video here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6dVWy1k0BU

McLinthe – Vomiting bug...
“I shouldn’t have had this CosmicCow Shake before going on this ride...! Chief Beef causing me grief!”
How to activate: Rename a shop to “MCLINTHE” to have all your guests think the “I’ve thrown up” thought, and causing wandering guests to produce vomit on the spot... better hire some cleaners for this one!

Check out this entertaining video by the fantastic MrMeola:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhhiazbed8g

TegidCam – Invisible guest camera
We told you it’d be back...
How to activate: Rename a guest or staff member to “TEGIDCAM” to enter the camera mode.

Steve Wilkins – Increase breakdown rate of all rides
Be sure to have enough mechanics around when you try this one!
How to activate: Rename a staff member to “STEVE WILKINS” to increase the breakdown rate of all rides. You won’t notice anything immediately with this one, but if a ride already has a chance of breaking down, that rate will be further increased.

Frontier – Stop rides from breaking down
Farewell technical issues! No more missing out on revenue due to faulty rides!
How to activate: Rename a ride “FRONTIER” to reduce the breakdown rate of all rides to zero!

As demonstrated in tonight’s livestream:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8JYqDiKKh4

Looking forward to seeing all the awesome and insane moments you’ll have in your parks by using these! Do share your cheat code experiences with us.

Happy Planet Coaster Cheat Day!
