The more players join and play, the more unlockable characters, items and other content pieces are unlocked in Endless Legend and Dungeon of the Endless. DUNGEON OF THE ENDLESS UPDATE
The Multiplayer update is now available. Find the complete release note here. This new version includes several features that you have suggested: a save system, the ability to exchange items, private games and much more.
This feature allows a disconnected player to get back into the game. If a network issue occurs, the host can save and quit, then reload the game with everybody. We’re working on small improvements to make this process simpler.
The auto saves are also available on multiplayer mode. If the host crashes or is disconnected, he/she will be able to load the game at the beginning of the current floor with the other players.

This new content is shaping up nicely and is almost finished in terms of production. But we think it is still rough around the edges, hence the delay to polish everything.
We already received constructive feedback from the VIPs, who had the chance to test it in alpha stage. We are taking this feedback into account, but we also would like to have even more feedback from the community, to help us complete the tuning and polish of this Expansion.
This is why we are setting up a Closed Beta test, to check out the Expansion and give us feedback.

You will have to enter a special in-game command (in the chat box) in order to launch the SIM debugger: "--enablemoddingtools" in the launch options of Steam for Endless Legend (right click, "Properties", "General" tab, "Set Launch Options" button).
Please note however that in order to limit various problems, achievements and multiplayer mode will not be available.
