World of Tanks Blitz - TOG II*

Discover all the advantages of its dependable gun, assault the flanks in time, teach "spotters" their place, and leave battles triumphantly with piles of credits using the new Tier V German tank Krupp-38(D).

Through May 31, you'll find two bundles in the Store: one with the new tank and the other its fully equipped version. Take this chance and test the Krupp-38(D) for yourself in battle!

What About Shooting and Riding?
The Krupp-38(D) is based on blueprint ideas of German engineers. It once seemed impossible to build this vehicle with the Hetzer's hull and a more powerful medium tank gun in steel, but now you can appreciate the realization of this idea in World of Tanks Blitz.

The gun of the Krupp-38(D) is already known to many of you thanks to the Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf. G or the Pz.Kpfw. V/IV. This gun is one of the most accurate for Tier V. It aims really quickly, deals 160 HP of damage with an AP shell, and penetrates up to 110 mm of armor. Good gun stabilization and a quick turret make this tank a great tool for destroying the ELC AMXs and the Leopards. Coping with their armor for this gun is like multiplying two by two for a pupil. Your shells will also bring welcome damage to medium tanks. Heavy tanks will be more difficult to destroy, but flanking maneuvers and shooting at vulnerable sides and rear will help you resolve this issue.

The imposing single-shot damage delivers major blows to enemy tanks' hit points. But don't forget to take cover when necessary: the average rate of fire makes machine gunning impossible. If you have no way out, just go ahead disabling enemies and destroying them then and there. Good accuracy and stabilization will help you.

The quick turret will allow you to change your target easily and save you in a high maneuver battle since the chassis of this machine is relatively slow. If any agile tank invites you to "a spin dance", you'll hardly have time to point your protective front armor. However, the high turret traverse speed will let you take aim at the enemy and battle on equal terms, perhaps even sending the "dancer" to the Garage prematurely.

Although this tank is not brilliant at turning, it has absolutely no problems with dynamics. Having chosen your tactics at the beginning of battle, hurry up to take the most advantageous position on the map. It will take the Krupp-38(D) 5-6 seconds to increase its speed to 30 km/h, and if the road is straight and flat, it will do an even 40 km/h. You'll have enough time both to take a good position and to ride away in case of danger.

And What About Armor?
The front hull of the Krupp-38(D) has 80 mm of armor, which doesn't impress at first sight. But prudent engineers made the Hetzer’s hull armor sloped. That means an enemy shell has to pierce one and a half or even two times more than 80 mm. This is how the proprietary hull of a famous German tank destroyer can gift you a bunch of Damage Blocked ribbons.

Unfortunately, the Krupp-38(D) wasn't as lucky with turret armor. It's also 80 mm thick but without angles. The gun mantlet is unlikely to be of any interest for an enemy, which means the "cheeks" will take most damage. So don't forget to shift the turret slightly when reloading.

The small size will help save hit points. The Krupp-38(D) is one of the most compact medium tanks of this Tier: you'll be able to hide even in small shelters and it will be more difficult for the enemy to aim at you.

The Krupp-38(D) gives you everything one would expect from a German medium tank: decent damage dealt by a dependable gun, good dynamics, and strong frontal hull armor. Destroy enemy vehicles even from minimal cover or support allies' attacks by striking opponents on the move. And, of course, earn more credits and experience for every battle!

Mix a striking camouflage with a new system of missions, add a new-look Garage, and, for the finishing touch, sprinkle a dozen various avatars on top. Voila! A colorful spring update is ready!

Update 5.10 will take effect on April 24. Watch this video to find out what it'll bring:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W75VdL_fQNI
Missions

The number of available tasks has become larger, and the rewards more diverse. Check out the New Missions article for more details.

Now you can complete not three, but ten daily missions, which are grouped by difficulty level. The higher your vehicle tier, the higher the mission level. This means the reward for completing the mission is of higher quality as well! Among the prizes are a lot of new warpaints for any vehicle.

With the update release, all players will receive 360 Keys as a bonus. To claim these Keys, install the update and enter the game by April 29, 0:00 (UTC) (3:00 (MSK) / 2:00 (CEST) / 8:00 (UTC+8); April 28, 17:00 (PT) / 20:00 (ET)).

Balance Improvements

Read the Balance Improvements in Update 5.10 article to see all the stats.

We enhanced the armor of the sides, lower and upper glacis plates, hatches, and commander's cupolas for many Tier VI heavies so that they feel more confident when opposing Tier VII vehicles on the battlefield.

To simplify module research at lower tiers, we replaced or removed inefficient guns and engines for several vehicles, as well as added missing types of shells or increased their number.

All the shells for replaced or removed guns will be refunded in full.

Camouflage

Check out the Smashing Camo article to thoroughly examine our new warpaints and find out battle names of the vehicles wearing legendary camouflages.

All legendary warpaints now change vehicle names in battle.

You'll be able to receive one of the following six new Rare warpaints for all vehicles for completing missions: Frozen Soil, Oasis, Hexagons, Green Mamba, Carbon, or Radiant Energy.

After the update release, some Rare warpaints will be available for purchase again: Retro, Thunderbolt, Full Forward, and Faster, Higher, Stronger. The Tactical Shield, Frozen Flame, and Tectonic camos will be removed from sale.

The Fire Sentinel Rare camouflage is now available for vehicles of all nations and types.

Avatars

The following 11 new temporary avatars can drop from bonus containers:

You can receive the same 11 avatars permanently for completing missions.

Other Improvements

Previously, an additional menu was displayed upon tapping the battle type selection button. Now, you will see a new screen. You can go back by tapping any free area on the screen or the Back button. Double tap the battle type button to select a battle type and close the screen. (Oh, and beautiful sparks are flying here.)

Let's spend this spring in the forest! For that purpose, the Garage was moved outside into fresh air:

The battle queue screen was renewed.

The Detailed Overview screen now shows concealment parameters in percentage (while stationary, while moving, and upon firing while stationary). The names of characteristics were updated for autocannons (Burst Reload Time > Reload Time between Shots; Bursts per Magazine > Shots per Magazine; Shells per Burst > Shells per Shot).

We were so desperate to add the concealment parameter in this version that we missed a bug with camouflage. In Update 5.10, the concealment value for some vehicles may be displayed including the camouflage bonus, even if this camo is not installed on the vehicle. We will fix this bug in the next version of the game.

The Appearance tab is now also available on the components panel. It will be blocked for vehicles featuring a unique appearance (for example, T6 Dracula).

The link to the World of Tanks Blitz official server in Discord was added to the Community tab in the side menu.

Bug Fixes

If you have a certificate for a camouflage in Storage, you can now get this camouflage even if it is removed from sale.

The bug where the clan supply discount on vehicle repairs was displayed incorrectly in the Detailed > Credits tab on the battle results screen was fixed.

When selecting a rating battle, tournament participants now see their rating in the Garage.

The shell tracer is now displayed correctly when firing at an obstacle.

Various screens, notifications, and descriptions were improved.

General bugs and client crashes were fixed.

World of Tanks Blitz - TOG II*

It feels much better when your vehicle not only easily smashes enemies, but looks smashing! Update 5.10 features many camouflage options that you can try on your favorite vehicles. Meanwhile, let's take a look at the new spring camos and see which of them will transform your tank into the most stylish battle vehicle on the server!
As the new update is released, the Tactical Shield, Frozen Flame, and Tectonic camouflages will no longer be available. Hurry up and get them before they're gone!

Camouflage for Missions
Update 5.10 features six new options of rare camouflage that can drop out of containers as a reward for completing missions:

Frozen Soil
The cold, sober colors of the camo will help you blend into the severe and majestic winter landscape. In short, it will blend in naturally on snowy maps. It's a great choice for those who want to get a small piece of winter, which has already gone.

Resupply Cost: 50–3,000 credits depending on the vehicle tier.

Oasis
A warm and visually pleasing pattern of this camouflage resembles the combination of sand and vegetation. The enemy looks at it, starts dreaming about the sun and the sea, loses their guard, and you get an easy frag!

Resupply Cost: 50–3,000 credits depending on the vehicle tier.

Hexagons
This camouflage's pattern consists of hexagons. They give it a kind of a futuristic look: it seems like the vehicle has travelled back in time from the future to reverse the outcome of the battle and lead your team the victory.

Resupply Cost: 50–3,000 credits depending on the vehicle tier.

Green Mamba
A stylish camouflage with shades of black and green resembling a venomous tropical snake ready to attack. One glance at your tank will be enough for the enemy to recoil in fear! Especially if you land an accurately aimed shell!

Doesn't require resupply

Carbon
A stylish black camouflage resembling hi-tech armor. It looks stunning on any tank and any map. Black is always in fashion!

Doesn't require resupply

Radiant Energy
This camouflage, which is covered in lines of light, will make your tank look like a magical artifact. A dash of magic will make your victories even more pleasant!

Doesn't require resupply

Camouflage for Gold and Credits
Four rare camouflages are back in the game: Retro, Thunderbolt, Full Forward, and Faster, Higher, Stronger.

Fire Sentinel
The Fire Sentinel rare camouflage that had previously been available for mounting only on Chinese medium tanks has become available for vehicles of all types and nations in Update 5.10.

Cost to unlock: 65–750 gold depending on the vehicle tier.

Legendary camouflage
In Update 5.10, all legendary camouflages in the game will change vehicle names in battle. This change will be applied to the legendary warpaints of the following vehicles:

World of Tanks Blitz - TOG II*

The Collector AMX 30 B is prepared for the battlefield, g-g-growling in anticipation of adrenaline-filled skirmishes with the enemy. Just one order from you and this tank will tear up random battles, ripping all that stand in its way into small pieces. Climb in and command this beast to release the rage of the AMX 30 B on your enemies*!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VWrMAeRK8rc

Available in the Store until April 19, there's a chance of getting the Collector AMX 30 B inside special containers! Each container will guarantee a random reward.

*Caution: You may feel sorry for the enemy!

How is the AMX 30 B as a tank?

Without being modest: great! From the first seconds of combat, the AMX 30 B impresses with its mobility, excellent gun depression and a pretty decent weapon. Look at its stats and see for yourself:

The closest competitor of the AMX 30 B is the researchable Leopard 1. If you know what the German “cat” is capable of, then you can easily imagine the potential of its French counterpart. Both tanks are lacking in armor, but they can move fast, deal a good amount of damage and skillfully use features of combat locations. If the AMX 30 B falls into the hands of a knowledgeable commander, the enemy team will have a tough time!

AMX 30 B flutters like a 35-ton butterfly

According to the speed and dynamic characteristics of the AMX 30 B, it will be clipping at the heels of the Leopard 1. Without equipment, the French tank accelerates to 30 km/h in just 3 seconds, and within 10 can hit speeds above 60 km/h.

The tank easily climbs steep slopes and can quickly occupy key positions: a classic ride up the mountain on Mines takes you about 15-20 seconds (even without the Engine Power Boost!).

The AMX 30 B stands out thanks to its excellent maneuverability. You will enjoy the precision and responsiveness of its control. On the AMX 30 B, you’ll easily take sharp turns and be able to dodge shells. Catching this tank on the fly and taking an accurate shot is a serious test for the enemy.

AMX 30 B stings like a huge bee

The dealer of the painful and devastating stings is a quick-firing 105-mm gun. With it, you will make plenty of holes in the sides and the rear of enemy targets. Even penetrating the frontal armor of various foes is quite feasible. If you find yourself taking on a shy enemy, fenced off from the outside world with especially thick armor, you’ll need a HEAT shell, which boasts 295-mm armor penetration.

But it makes little sense for the agile AMX 30 B to trade damage in face-to-face duels, as it quickly can drive to the enemy’s flank or rear. When you see an opponent's softest spots in the crosshairs, you're using the gun of your AMX 30 B to 100% of its potential. The potential DPM (without equipment and Premium ammo) scores over 2600 points, making even the most “thicc” of foes melt under your fire quickly!

The accuracy and stability of the French’s gun lags behind the excellent one on the Leopard 1, but the difference is minimal. Using equipment, you can improve these characteristics and you will end up on par with the German sniper.

What about protection?

Generally, with great speed comes not-so great armor. The rule remains true for the AMX 30 B: the hull can be pierced easily by any opponent. A lot of damage can also be caused by HE rounds, so remember:

The AMX 30 B’s armor is its speed!

A stationary AMX 30 B is the best gift your opponents could want. You will save a lot of HP if you move and change positions frequently. Sharp turns, unexpected directions of attack, flanking or going around the rear—the AMX 30 B’s mobility offers something that thick armor could never give.

Unlike the Leopard 1, the French tank has a pretty strong turret. A large gun mask can block shots even from the most powerful tank destroyers, while the rest of the tower can often ricochet shells. There is a weak point however: the large and poorly protected commander hatch. In order not to take damage in a positional firefight, it’s better to move and make it difficult for the enemy to focus fire on it.

Taking the AMX 30 B for a spin, you can use the strongest armor in the game (and no, it’s not attached to any vehicle from Tier I to Tier X). Use the terrain to your advantage; whether it’s sand, earth, rocks or asphalt. You have the ability to do this thanks to your solid turret, the ability to quickly climb steep slopes, and even a gun with 10 degrees of depression. Take up a favorable position and torment the enemy under the cover of map’s natural features.

The AMX 30 B will remind you of battle scenes from action movies: dashing chases, intense firefights, sniper shots, maneuverable skirmishes on the verge of madness and deserved victories. Take the reins and tear up the battlefield like a pro!

Phew, we're tired from listing the changes. And you are probably already enjoying this video about Update 5.9 that takes effect on March 27.
https://youtu.be/x9LFDAi4y1s
Screen with Vehicle Characteristics
The vehicle characteristics panel on the Upgrades screen is now divided into two tabs. Brief Characteristics include six parameters: damage, rate of fire, penetration, armor, speed, and rotation. The indication system works like this:
  • Yellow shows the current parameter.
  • Red and green allow you to see the difference in parameters when switching between modules.
  • Light-gray shows the maximum value that can be achieved if you mount all top modules.
  • The bar is filled based on the comparison of the selected vehicle's parameters with the maximum possible values among vehicles of all tiers.
Some old parameters displayed in the Detailed Characteristics tab were renamed (e.g. Armor -> Main Armor). Plenty of new parameters were added: reload time, damage per minute, depression/elevation angles, gun traverse limits to the left / to the right, maximum forward/reverse speed, average speed, power-to-weight ratio, road/ground/water crossing capacity. For autocannons: bursts per magazine, burst reload time, shells in magazine.

World of Tanks Blitz - TOG II*

The last rays of the sun touch the palm leaves for the last time, the distant roar of an engine and the gentle crunch of crushed skulls are heard from afar. That stinking smell means another wave of zombies is approaching (where did they come from, anyway?). The fear had barely sunk in when a massive shell levelled the brainless army to the ground. Nothing but smoke and a burnt hole were left. The engine roar is getting closer, and you can see a familiar silhouette with new details: shells, lightning bolts, and spikes. A fragile pink-haired creature jumps out of the tank's hatch. What on earth is going on?

The Smasher is available in the Store through March 31. Get it before it rides off into the sunset!

Shortly Before the Apocalypse

It's time to bring some serious armor to the battlefield. The Smasher is the unavoidable force needed to completely break the enemy's morale. Its characteristics prove it.

The only thing we know about the pink-haired creature is that she occupies the tank. Yes, you heard that right: when she’s not saving the world, she drinks coke, chows down on combat rations, and takes peaceful naps right inside the iron machine. Of course, she wouldn't risk putting herself in danger by living in an unsafe shelter. The Smasher's hull armor is quite strong to give her enough time to wake up, stretch a bit, yawn, tidy her hair, and get rid of the enemy with a single shot after the shooting starts. Damage from inattentive enemies will be blocked by the stylish track and turret shields.
https://youtu.be/ebd-fuSZzas
Of course, it's not all shielded: to damage this heavy tank, you only need to attack its sides or rear with a fast vehicle. Add a not too prompt turret and low traverse speed to it, and you'll see why this girl spent a couple of years learning about smart positioning.

In order to hold a position properly, it wouldn't hurt to add some speed. You won't be able to chase the Dracula or the Bullpup with this heavy tank loaded with equipment and a couple cases of Cola, however, it always reaches its speeds of 35 km/h forward and 12 km/h backward. In ten seconds, you'll get this weighty metal rock going 25–30 km/h and never be late for the beginning of the battle.

KABOOM
The Smasher deals DAMAGE. The maximum damage of 640 HP caused by Armor-Piercing shells and 960—by High-Explosive shells is worth waiting the long 4.6 s for the gun to aim (all numbers are given considering provisions and full equipment are included). Full equipment also provides an impressive 2,500 HP of damage per minute! And the fire rate is still better than that of the KV-2, the Smasher's lookalike: 15 s against 20 s. The tank wasn't so lucky with its depression angle: the Smasher's angles are one degree less in both directions, so you're unlikely to become the king of the hills. To turn these numbers into pain and suffering for the enemy, you'll have to find the right position, aim well, and read angry comments in the chat about the unfair RNG.

The Smasher isn't just stylish and post-apocalyptic, it is also extremely painful for your enemies. The decent hull armor and speed gives you the opportunity to conduct a strategic war. Gather the support of your allies, be restrained, and see the giant amount of damage you cause!
World of Tanks Blitz - TOG II*

After a dozen confident victories, enemy vehicles finally retreated. So, Command prepared a new order: get as many war Trophies as possible. From March 6 to March 14, complete Missions, open Bonus Containers, earn Trophies, and exchange them for rewards: Premium Account, credits, and gold!
