The Stinger is ready to rip the competition to shreds...


Seemingly inspired by a certain insect, this FREE car was modeled by awesome community Meg.A.Byte! Here's one of the first shots of it



Such a beaut. Thanks to Meg.A.Byte and GRIP team members Alex and Tavis for bringing this thing to life. You can also see footage of it in the new trailer further down in this post.

We've also gone and solved a bunch of bugs (including HDR) and have improved flow and fixed issues on various tracks in the game. Jahtra's Rust racetrack also got a visual overhaul so have a look!

Lastly, another major improvement is to wheeled car physics. The cars should have more predictable behavior when turning over bumps/jumps, and just feel more stable overall. Give them a drive!

We've just announced the Summer of Combat campaign, sure to make the summer sizzle even hotter!

Kicking off on July 4th, with an Xbox Free Play Weekend (details below!) and then heading towards the beach with 3 months worth of new content, the Summer of Combat will bring even more explosions to GRIP!

Powered by Unreal® Engine 4, GRIP: Combat Racing was first released in 2018. Since its launch, Developer Caged Element have released six free tracks, created battle lines with Red Vs Blue team modes and in May 2019, dropped the game changing update ‘AirBlades’ – which introduced anti-grav racers to the track for adrenaline pounding wheel-to-wing action, flipping the title on its head in a first for the genre!

Grip: Combat Racing was, for better or worse, little more than a remake of old PSX racer Rollcage. Developers Caged Element had crafted a nicer-looking if familiar game, retaining that same twitchy, aggressive mix of wall-riding racing, shooting rivals off the track while trying to maintain control during spins and crashes. Today, it’s a bit more than that. Today’s free update adds fifteen new “AirBlade” hover-vehicles with notably different handling, two new tracks plus some new music and skins. This is building on last month’s update adding four more tracks and new team play-modes. See the update trailer below.

Oh yes, this update brings you 15 formidable new vehicles taken from those that you already know and love and fused them together with anti-gravity technology.

Carefully engineered to be strong competition against their ground-based brethren, these vehicles offer a fantastic new racing experience exclusive to GRIP. Not quite Rollcage, not quite Wipeout, but an amazing new hybrid that will set the whole genre on fire.

Our next update will include MORE CAR SKIN UNLOCKS past level 30. We'll be bumping the max level to 40 to make room.

The unlockable car skins will be the ones used by the AI characters in the campaign, plus some proper paint for the Pariah cars, as we know you guys have been wanting some.

You guys love customizing cars in GRIP. Well, we decided to take it to the next level and allow you to inject your very own custom car design for the Nyvoss Mirage into GRIP ;)

Use this Nyvoss Mirage template to create be a completely custom paint job, like for example what we've done for the recent Streamers Connected skin. Paint any design, any colour, and even some kind of logo if you like as long as it's your own creation.

EDIT: Here's a link to a package containing the car's mesh and relevant textures in a PSD. Should make paint design creation much easier for people who are skilled in graphics software
