We are pleased to announce that FINAL FANTASY XIV: Shadowbringers, our third expansion, is now available!

Starting today, those who did not participate in the early access period can now begin their journey in the First. We hope you enjoy everything Shadowbringers has to offer!

Users who have registered their Shadowbringers registration codes and are currently playing FINAL FANTASY XIV will have their game client updated automatically.

Users on Steam who do not have the FINAL FANTASY XIV client can download it from your Steam Library.


Early access will end on Friday, 5 July, 2019 at 23:59 in the time zone for the registered account’s region (NA: PDT, EU: GMT, JP: JST). Please register the full FINAL FANTASY XIV: Shadowbringers registration code or promotion code before this time to continue playing after the early access period.


During the first weeks, there will be no restrictions on what content you can discuss, post, or stream while following the Material Usage License Agreement. However, we ask that early access users please be considerate and refrain from posting spoiler-related content as there are those players who may start at a later time, or play at their own pace.

This doesn’t mean that players cannot stream or share the content they’re playing, we just ask everyone to be mindful about what they’re sharing publicly as they explore the First!

* Please be advised that data mining is a violation of the FINAL FANTASY XIV User Agreement.

Warriors of Light on Steam will be able to add the award-winning Heavensward expansion pack to their account for free!

All users that purchased and registered A Realm Reborn/Starter Edition on Steam before 31 May, 2019 are eligible to take part and get a taste of the adventures that await in Stormblood and the upcoming Shadowbringers!
With the Free Login Campaign also in full swing, returning users can also come back and play for FREE for up to 7 days.

What Will Happen:
Heavensward Steam codes will be sent via email to the email address registered to the Square Enix Account of eligible FFXIV: A Realm Reborn/Starter Edition owners on Friday 14 June. Redemption instructions for Heavensward Steam codes can be found here: NA / EU.

Heavensward Steam codes will not be sent to users unsubscribed to email marketing communications from Square Enix. Users can manage their marketing communication preferences by following the steps below:

• Log in to the Square Enix website: https://membership.square-enix.com/users/sign_in
  
• Go to Settings on the right-hand side
  
• Set subscription status to “on” in the Email Preferences section at the bottom of the page

*Note: If you have not registered a Square Enix Members Account with the email address registered to FFXIV, you will need to do so in order to amend your email preferences.

Once you pre-purchase, both your Mog Station pre-order code and your full Shadowbringers (standard or collector’s edition) will be available.

• Access your registration codes by selecting “FINAL FANTASY XIV” in your Steam “Library” and selecting “CD key” on the right-hand menu. The codes will always be accessible from this location should you ever need to reference them again. Please note that these codes will only work on Steam FINAL FANTASY XIV service accounts.
  
• The Shadowbringers (standard or collector’s edition) registration code will not be redeemable until closer to the official launch. For now, please note where it is located until the time comes to redeem it!

1. Log in to the FINAL FANTASY XIV Mog Station with your Square Enix ID. You must have a FINAL FANTASY XIV (Steam) service account to redeem the pre-order code.
   
2. Select the "Your Account" menu from the top of the screen. If you have multiple service accounts (represented as tabs), please select the service account you wish to redeem your code on.
   
3. Select "Enter Pre-order Bonus Code (Early Access Code)", then follow the on-screen instructions to redeem your code.
