Michal “Mikee” Hapala may have a crazy hairdo, but he is definitely talented as a programmer, who joined Warhorse very early in February 2012, long before the Kickstarter campaign. In the summer of 2014, Tobias “Tobi” Stolz-Zwilling joined Warhorse Studios as the Community Manager. He quickly became the PR Manager in 2015 and has since been the face of Warhorse Studios. Born in Offenbach am Main, he is known as the German intruder in the office.
He just came back from E3 in Los Angeles, and left the beautiful California sun behind, just in time to answer the call of the Weekly Torch for you!

Or until the one hour playtime is up, whichever comes first!”

Eye For Games

"Warhorse Studios’ goal with Kingdom Come: Deliverance was to place the player specifically in the harsh, unforgiving world of Medieval Bohemia: a world where combat is realistic – fast and first-person. It’s a world where quests are open-ended and can either be solved with words or with the blade. How the player navigates the world and solves problems is up to them.

EFG spoke with Warhorse to discuss the role of motion capture and their animation process, the importance of open-ended quest design and how it creates satisfactory gameplay, and how they adapted realistic Medieval combat for a video game."

2018gamesheader

As we lay 2017 to rest, let us remember all of the wonderful games that flickered across our screens and occupied our hearts and minds. But now we must promise never to think of them again because times have changed. This is 2018 and if we’ve learned one thing from the few hours we’ve spent in it it’s that there are games everywhere>. Every firework that exploded in the many midnights of New Year’s celebrations was stuffed with games and they were still raining down across the world this morning. We cannot stop them, we cannot contain them, but we can> attempt to understand them.

Hundreds of them will be worth our time and attention, but we’ve selected a few of the ones that excite us most as we prepare for another year of splendid PC gaming. There’s something for everyone, from Aunt Maude, the military genius, to merry Ian Rogue, the man who hates permadeath and procedural generation with a passion.
