We just released a patch that tries to fix the joining match problems, here is the change log. Please play as much as you can and keep sending out your feedback to tell us if the issues were mitigated.
Make sure your game is up-to-date with the latest fix by exiting and logging back into Steam!
You can expect another hotfix later today with other minor fixes.
Changes:
In-match latency display: Added your PING to the host inside the game, in the scoreboard screen
Server Regions: Added the name of the region (North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, Asia) where a match is hosted in the server list screen
King of the Hill balance tweak: Changed the balance on the KoTH capture point so the score counts slower for the capturing team (matches should last twice as long now, even if one team dominates the point for the entire duration)
Fixes:
The Supernova, Sawblade and Oni should be equippable as a secondary weapons using the Berserker True Grit skill.
Added timeout to Steam lobbies to avoid dead servers to be listed
Fixed an issue that made the in game HUD blurry
Fixed an issue that made the HUD invisible in machines running the game with D3D9
Fixed an issue with the Set Resolution that was causing the ALT+TAB to crash the game
Umpdated Unity Engine to fix several UI glitches.
Fixed an issue that was altering the sniper scope sensitivity is a bad way. We will have to patch this again since now sniper rifles are super sensitive when scoped-in (be gentle with them).

Ballistic Overkill Early Access is now Open. We are happy to start this Early Access and are looking forward to your feedback to help us build a great shooter.
We are aware of a number of Issues already, especially the hardships of finding a valid lobby to play in. We'll work on hotfixes for these features and push a new game build as soon as we have a solution for that in place.
One of the first things we’d love to get feedback from you is exactly that: testing stability and the game flow, make sure that you can find matches through the Quick Match, invite Steam friends to your matches, finish and replay matches, create your room and join existing rooms, etc.
Our second goal (if everything works fine) is to get your feedback on the competitive aspect of the game. Weapon balance and level design are areas that we very much need your help to properly test and perfect, as well as character and skill balance. We want to introduce in-match rounds in the near future to allow you guys to play several times before tallying up the score. Our new balance for the King of the Hill mode represents the competitive and team-based approach we want for the game: capturing and keeping control of the central location is key to winning a match and teams should work together to secure the area.
We are confident that the current release offers you with plenty of features to explore and a lot of game to play. Here is what you will find in the first release:
3 fully working classes: Vanguard, Berserker and Wraith; with their full arsenal of weapons and skills.
3 maps (Overhead, Sunnsquare Mall and Corporate Park)
3 Game modes (Free-for-all, Team Deathmatch and King of the Hill)
Ability to create public and private rooms and invite your friends to your games
Placeholder UI and HUD
Updated graphics to Unity 5
Known Issues:
The server Browser is slow and there are a lot of "ghost" lobbies (we are aware this is a big issue, and are working really hard to fix it ASAP)
ALT + TAB will crash the game (we are aware this is a big issue, and are working really hard to fix it ASAP)
Active Skill feedback in the HUD is not working properly, the entire system is being revised
Several minor UI problems due to a bug in Unity, it should be fixed soon (Skill icons, HUD elements, etc.)
We plan to keep evolving towards a more competitive game in the upcoming months. Both small and big features are being worked on according to your votes on our public task lists: adding rounds to the current game modes, creating a hardcore version where you don’t respawn between matches and having a spectator mode. Bringing all the 7 original classes and all the 9 original maps are all things that will be added in future updates as they become ready to go. We are also very excited with the new graphics for the User Interface that are in the works right now as well the character progression system where you can unlock new skins for your guns and characters.
Thanks for all your support, see you in game soon!

We're opening Ballistic Overkill to all of you in less than 48h! that's so close! As we were putting the last touches to the first version of #BallisticOverkill in Early Access, we thought it would be great to let you "spy" us and see how it is an internal playtest session here in the studio. So there you have it, a juicy 15 minutes gameplay video!
Please let us know what do you think about it in the comments:
Remember Ballistic Overkill is not a free game, it is like a sport where you compete in a series of match and need to chose wisely among all the classes, weapons and skills at your disposal (for each class)!
Sure many you maybe wondering about what you will find in the game when playing it for the first time, on next Thursday:

Hi, soldiers! A new Devtalk is on air, it addresses the following points:
We clarify on some questions related to the transfer of players progress from Ballistic F2P to Overkill.
We present the instructions to redeem and pre-order your copy of Ballistic Overkill.
Interview with Matheus "TT" Freire and Luiz Teixeira (Lead tester and game tester on Ballistic Overkill respectively). We chat about the testing process, ask them for some advice to give to players about how to report bugs during Early Access. They end sharing a bit about their professional stories:
