Daeva, grab your party hat and raise your glass: AION is another year older! This needs to be celebrated: from 28th February to 6th March you’ll be able to pick up a Surprise Selection Box once each day.

We recommend caution when you open the box though, as the box inside the box holds your next challenge: a monster! Defeat it and look forward to some great items, such as black or white dye.

Here's what you need to know about the event:

• You'll receive a Surprise Selection Box from the AION Shop (once daily per account, from level 55 on).
• You can open this in Gelkmaros, Inggison or Lakrum.
• The Surprise Selection Box lets you choose between the Sweet Event Surprise Box and the Cute Event Surprise Box. Both boxes can contain different items. You can find a corresponding overview further below.
• The Sweet Event Surprise Box summons a monster from level 55 to 74.
• The Cute Event Surprise Box summons a monster from level 75 to 80.
• The monsters are random and can appear as normal or elite monsters.

The Surprise Selection Box can randomly contain the following items:

• [Event] Cute Minion Contract (14 types)
• [Event] Legendary PvE Enchantment Stone
• [Event] Legendary PvP Enchantment Stone
• Box of Level 80 Manastones

Lakrum is a region full of wonders and dangers. There is always talk of mysterious chests holding fabled treasures. After a tremendous earthquake, these are now appearing all over Lakrum.


This is your chance: head into high level dungeons from 20th February to 13th March and hunt for the keys to open these chests. There are two kinds of Key-Chest combinations: PvP and PvE.


You’ll find the following items, among others: Whispering Lady’s set (appearance), [Rune] Ultimate PvE Enchantment Stone, [Rune] Ultimate PvP Enchantment Stone, [Rune] Ancient Transformation Contract, Legendary Daevanion Skill Chest.


You have a set chance to receive a [Jakunerk] Gold Key from boss monsters or chests in the following PvP Instances:

• Ashunatal Dredgion: First Mate Angira, Menehune
• Runatorium
• Arena of Discipline
• Arena of Cooperation

These keys will let you open the Premium Treasure Chest, which appears in various locations all over Lakrum. After opening it will disappear and then reappear again after a set amount of time.


You have a set chance to receive a [Jakunerk] Copper Key from boss monsters or chests in the following PvE Instances:

• Mirash Refuge: Mirash Refuge Treasure Chest, Kirshka's Treasure Chest
• Garden of Knowledge: All-Seeing Eye, Fallen Water Jotun and Piton
• Narakkalli: Simple Narakkalli Treasure Box
• Holy Tower: Nergal
• Prometun's Workshop: Yarkhan, Workshop Treasure Chest, Tarukkan, Raging Prigga
• Makarna of Bitterness: Hall of Judgment Treasure Chest, Beritra's Claw

These keys will let you open the Ordinary Treasure Chest that you can find in the Temple of Perpetual Wisdom and in the Everlasting Life Refuge in Lakrum.


You are guaranteed to receive a class C item. With a little luck you may even get an item from classes A, B or S.

Note:


The list of rewards contains the item ‘Whispering Lady's Hat (Appearance)’. This is no longer contained in the treasure chests and has therefore been crossed out. We will however be making it available for free in the AION Shop on 28th February, 2019.

Are you a much travelled veteran? Do you rank among the elite of Atreia? Good news: the 20 Elite Levels are back! This time around they have new and exciting Elite Rewards such as the Oriental Dress, the Ultimate Bundle of Enchantment Stones, [Rune] Ancient Transformation Contract, the Luna Gold Chest and loads of other great items. The 20 Elite Levels follow on from the 80 existing Veteran Levels.





The Elite Levels work as follows:

• If you’ve reached Veteran Level 80, each Gold Pack (30 days) used in the game increases your Elite Level by 1.
• Each Elite level you reach unlocks additional rewards which can only be assigned to one of your character.
• In contrast to the existing Veteran levels, the Elite Level rewards are not reset after 6 months, so they can be applied to another character.
• As with the regular Veteran levels, the individual rewards can be seen in the tooltips from the respective levels in the Veteran system.

Note: the published elite levels are available until the release of the new reward system, Platinerk Inc., max. only three months. After that, no further Elite Levels can be reached by activating Gold Packs (30 days).

• Your existing Elite Rewards remain available to you. These can be viewed and assigned to an individual character in the section ‘Elite Rewards’ under ‘Manage bonuses’.
• In the overview you can still see which and how many Elite Levels you have achieved in the 3 months.
• A countdown shows how long the Elite Level period has to run.

The Black Cloud Merchants are again running their popular Shugo Game in which you can win valuable prizes – including the following items:



The Transparency Transformation Potion: Popoku, the [Jakunerk] Valentine’s Costume, the Box: Flying Shugo Jet, the Daevanion Skill Chest as well as the [Rune] Legendary Transformation Contract.


To take part, you will need Shugo Game Tokens, which you can purchase in the AION Shop from 13/2.


Free! During the event period you will receive three Shugo Game Tokens for free in the AION Shop.



How the Shugo Game works:

• Open the Shugo Game by clicking on the Shugo symbol at the bottom-right side of the screen.
• Then, by clicking on 'Continue', the game will start and a Shugo Game Token will be used up.
• Try to upgrade the weapon to the maximum level (8) to then earn reward of the highest level.
• Naturally you can click on 'Stop' at any time to end the game and collect the reward for the level that you have attained.
• The upgrading can also fail. Should this happen, you will receive the reward for level 1. If you wish to start from the beginning, you will need another Shugo Game Token.
• By using Shugo Game Tokens, the upper bar fills with Shugo Points. Once it is full, the Nyerk Fever begins. As long as this is active, your chances of successfully upgrading increase and it is more likely that you will win more valuable prizes.

Notes:

• You will automatically be given the prize for the level that you got to if you log out or switch to a different character while participating in the Shugo Game. The game cannot be continued.
• If you reach level 6 or higher and the upgrade fails, you will be able to use two additional Shugo Game Tokens to try again from the level that you failed at.
• Make sure that you keep hold of the following items, as they will be needed for an event in future: [Jakunerk] Gold Key and the [Jakunerk] Copper Key.

We have always had positive experiences interacting with our players where improving AION is concerned.


In the latest round of feedback, one point was in the foreground: the enchantment rates. It has often been difficult to improve items. We have looked into this and have decided to work on a patch that makes a new and improved enchantment rate for items possible.


In future we will be bringing more topics forward for your feedback – we will keep you updated.

There’s no small print in Atreia’s Transformation Contracts: exchange the Transformation Coins you’ve earned with Verandinerk for quality Transformation Contracts or Potions such as the [Rune] Ancient Transformation Contract, the [Rune] Major Transformation Contract, the Selection Box of Legendary Transformation Potions and the Selection Box of Ancient Transformation Potions.








You will receive 2 Transformation Coins per account each day in the AION Shop. You can then exchange them in the capitals with Verandinerk for a Transformation Contract. The free coins reset at 09:00am every day.

The business-minded Shugo Boborunerk always knew to turn the events of Atreia to his advantage. But after Ereshkigal’s devastating attack on the Tower of Eternity and her retreat to Lakrum afterwards, a lot changed for Boborunerk. To keep his business up and running, he is now working together with Karunerk of Karunerk's Workshop.


During your forays through Lakrum’s instances you can gather ‘Boborunerk’s Rusty Coins’ from defeated boss enemies.


Combine the coin with 8,000,000 XP to receive ‘Boborunerk's Special Coin’. You can combine 5 Boborunerk’s Special Coins with Luna's Light to receive an extraordinary reward, including items such as the [Event] Legendary PvE Enchantment Stone, the Legendary Lydium, the Box of Level 80 Manastones and the Scion Daeva Set (Plate).





Additionally level 80 players will receive 5 Rusty Coins a day through the daily login.
