Next week’s WARMACHINE: Tactics update brings four new warrior units and a whole new range of formidable options to reach out and attack your opponent with!

With the added melee distance of his Voltaic Halberd and the ability to arc lighting from one target to another, Cygnar’s STORMGUARD controls his ground until he puts his enemy in it!

Armed with a heavy crossbow loaded with Blessed Bolts, the Protectorate’s EXEMPLAR ERRANT boasts enough firepower and weapon mastery to bring Menoth’s enemies to their knees.

Hold your breath as Khador’s ASSAULT KOMMANDO storms the battlefield, ruthlessly armed to the teeth with a bladed carbine, combat shield, and grenade launcher loaded with poisonous Strangle Gas rounds.

And finally, the bloated mass of Cryx’s foul BILE THRALL shambles into battle, and with the corrosive spray attack of its Bile Cannon, will purge the land of anyone who dares stray too close.

From flesh-searing lighting to steel-melting bile, these four new units are going to leave a mark on the battles of WARMACHINE: Tactics!

Next week’s WARMACHINE: Tactics update brings four new warrior units and a whole new range of formidable options to reach out and attack your opponent with!

With the added melee distance of his Voltaic Halberd and the ability to arc lighting from one target to another, Cygnar’s STORMGUARD controls his ground until he puts his enemy in it!

New Stuff!

  • Single Player now has 2 new levels! The Tutorial level and Mission 1 are now available!

  • Skirmish mode has been added! Use any custom or pre-made squad against an AI opponent on any multiplayer map. AI is currently set to an early 'easy' mode, with more advanced difficulties coming later.

  • Heavy Warjacks now have access to the Throw Power Attack.

  • Throw and Slam now have collateral damage! Smash your opponents into one another!

  • The Vassal's Ancillary Attack is now available!

  • The Tutorial, Mission 1, and Mission 2 dialogue now has Voice Overs!

  • Lieutenant Jakes now has access to her Energizer and Sidekick spells.

  • Lieutenant Jakes also gains upgrades between each mission!

  • Epic Music now plays on Snowy Valley!

  • New icons for the Action Menu!

  • Continued performance enhancements.

  • Below are the current hotkeys! They may be subject to change and more will be added.

    Z: deselect unit or end activation. TAB: cycle squad members. SPACEBAR: cycle targets. DEL: end turn. G: toggle grid. ALT-F9: toggle UI.


    Fixed Bugs

  • Trampling is no longer blocked by target units being adjacent to one another.

  • Trampling is also no longer blocked if the Warjack would incur a free strike. Currently, trampling Warjacks will not incur free strikes.

  • Set Defense now increases defense against slam attacks.


    Known Issues

  • Units that move into the Iron Lich Overseer's Cloak of Darkness ability after its activation do not gain stealth.

  • The grid and grid-targeting highlights (when using Flame Wall or Mage Sight) will appear beneath parts of the terrain in Snowy Valley.

  • Strakhov's Overrun ability is currently unavailable.

  • Strakhov's Iron Fist does not grant Pathfinder.

  • Asphyxious's Teleport will not accept destinations he could not normally move to.

  • Units performing Combined Melee Attack will do a Ranged Attack aiming animation.

  • Units performing Combined Ranged Attack do not Aim at their target.

  • Units can execute a combined attack by themselves, though do not receive any bonuses to their attack as a result.

  • Revenger Repulsor shield does not push targets it hits or units that attack the Revenger in its front arc.

  • Casting Windrush while affected by Shadowbind will cause Sorscha's activation to end prematurely.

  • Heavy Warjacks do not incur freestrikes from trampling.

  • Units sometimes will show incorrect facing after moving diagonally or hit with a Free Strike.

  • Warjacks will sometimes not play all their attack animations when performing multiple attacks.

  • Putting focus into Stationary Units will remove the Frozen visual effect, even if the Stationary Effect is not yet shaken.

  • Units will appear to sink into either platform in the Forest Ruins map when standing on certain squares.

  • Units can move through the stone blocks near each deployment zone in forest ruins.

  • Trencher Smoke Grenades and the Flameguard Cleanser's Incinerate produce concealment, but do not function as Cloud Effects.
