Men of War: Assault Squad 2 received a new update, solving many issues and adding new features to the game!

You may have noticed that we introduced the Steam global chat into the game. It allows you to communicate within the game or through the Steam group chat with other players. For Deluxe Edition owners, we also introduced a set of new emoticons. ːhonorː

Additionally we introduced the in-game Steam friends list. You can see who of your friends is currently playing or who just created a game that you can join. One click is enough and you will team up with your friends!

To support modding and to enhance stability of long lasting custom games, we introduced a technology that limits the video RAM usage. The game won't go over that limit to prevent the usual instability you have with 32bit applications. It's one of the features that we have been investing a lot of resources into, so that we can improve the quality and stability of the game!

You also received new session filters that allow you to choose what kind of games you are really looking for. Since Steam sessions support 50 results only, it's even more important to make sure that the results you get really matter to you.




We listened to your feedback and we spent many months working hard to finally introduce multiplayer bots to the Men of War series for the very first time. As owner of the new DLC you will be able to host games and set bots in up to four difficulty modes in matches as large as 8v8. In custom games only the host requires to own the DLC to add bots to either team, everyone else can still join and play as usual.

To make things even more interesting, you receive the functionality to play match-making vs. bots to collect XP and statistics on your performance!

The community also requested more singleplayer style missions and we came up with a combination of Stealth and Airborne missions. For those of you who want to drop right into the heavy action, you can skip the Stealth part thanks to the new mission options.

These mission options have been added to original missions as well, so you may want to try them out again. Especially the tank DLC missions, which feature several tanks to choose from now!

We are currently working on a DLC for AS2 that includes match-making vs. AI bots, as well as the ability for hosts to set up custom settings supported by the AI. Currently the game suffers issue with Steam overlay if you are using Windows 7, which causes the game to freeze. Please disable your overlay if you are running Windows 7. To do so, go to your library -> right mouse click on AS2 -> select properties -> disable Steam overlay with this game. We are in touch with Valve to solve this issue.
