From Thursday, November 22nd until Tuesday, December 11th, it's all about fun and games in the country: Play with piglings and give a bale of hay a good kick! Visit the festival helpers in all three major cities to teleport to the Fairground or the Tuwangi Garrison – the party starts there!



Speak to Melsa at the Fairground and help her cook delicious dishes! She's also selling the Rootstock Teleport Scroll, which you can use to return to her from wherever you are. Dig up Mudroots, turn them into Mudroot Salad, prepare Popped Cobseed and have fun playing great mini-games!

• [Mini-game] Kick-Bale
  
  Speak to Digory on Digory's Farmstead and take part in the Kick-Bale contest! You've got 60 seconds to kick the hay bale away from the two minions. You'll be rewarded with 50 points for each successful kick. If the minions manage to kick the hay bale, you'll lose 15 points. Depending on your score, you'll get rare ingredients as a reward.
  
• [Mini-game] Pigling Rodeo
  
  Speak to Tippani at Filton's Dairy Farm and take part in the Pigling Rodeo! You've got 60 seconds to round up as many piglings as possible into the enclosure. You'll be rewarded with 100 points for each pigling. There's a total of 15 piglings as well as one minion, who will try to take the piglings away. If he succeeds, you'll lose points. Depending on your score, you'll get rare ingredients as a reward.

As a thank-you for helping out on the farm, you'll receive various dishes to boost yourself with useful bonuses such as HP increases, MP restoration, and critical hit rate and attack speed increases.




Help the Tuwangi hunt dragons, roast dragon meat and craft drums! An avid researcher is waiting for you at the Tuwangi Garrison, offering a Pond Faire Teleport Scroll, which you can use to return to him from wherever you are.

• [Mini-game] Drum Away
  
  Speak to Kukuta at the Burning Frog Altar and take part in Drum Away! Colored frogs will come at you for 60 seconds. Beat the matching colored drums to prevent the frogs from reaching you. If a blue frog comes too close to you, beat the blue drum to make it turn back. The Tuwangi will give you rewards including colorful frog pets and flutes that raise the attack power of your entire party.

New achievements are available for the Rootstock festival. Once you have completed them all, you'll unlock the "Eat! Drink! Cook! Enjoy Rootstock!" achievement and you'll be rewarded with an ephemeral Moonsilk Carpet!
You'll get a permanent Moonsilk Carpet by completing the "Now All I Need Is a Lamp" achievement. This is possible if you completed the "Shouldn't a Festival Be More...Festive?" achievements during the Festival of the Sun.

Tuesday, 13th November sees the release of patch 76, introducing the talent system, Bahaar’s Sanctum and the Elin Brawler.

Talent System

The long-awaited talent system hits our servers with the release of patch 76.

• EP XP is shared by all of your account’s characters on the server
  
• EP XP can be earned from level 65 for Vanguard Initiative quests
  
• EP points earned can be used to unlock powerful improvements for your characters

Elin Brawler

• The Brawler class is now available for Elins in addition to Humans
  
• All existing Brawler costumes which are available for Fashion Coupons can also be worn by Elins
  
• As of patch 76, it is not yet possible to use a Race Change Voucher to transform a Human Brawler into an Elin, however this will become possible at a later date

Additional Character Slot

• Patch 76 increases the maximum number of character slots per server from 20 to 21

Pick up your free slot:

IMPORTANT: Players are currently only able to unlock 20 slots per server, but a 21st slot will become available with the release of patch 76. If you currently have 20 character slots, please do not use the coupon before patch 76 has been released, otherwise your coupon may disappear without effect!

• Added shortcut for toggling other players’ visual effects

• We’re boosting EP XP to celebrate the talent system’s introduction!
  
  • You’ll earn 30% more EP XP until further notice
    
  • You’ll receive free EP XP boosters at the weekend until further notice. That way you can unlock and enjoy those new skills even more quickly
• The League of Levelers is rewarding new recruits for leveling up until 20th November. If you reach level 64, you can even get your hands on a set of Twisthard gear!
  
• The Astral Gifts event starts once more when the patch drops, and will remain active until Sunday, 18th November – with even better rewards for your online time!

Mastering a challenge requires you to successfully complete dungeons during the event. You can view your current challenges by clicking on the little Elin button while the event is active. Fists of Steel – Cute but Deadly



Swing your fists with the wrath of nature! Patch 76 allows players to make Brawlers of those adorable Elins. Roll with the punches with the feisty fighters of Pora Elinu, and smash through the enemy ranks with a furious flurry of blows and kicks.





Heroes and Skills – Talent System and EP Points

Explore tons of new options for your playing style! You can customize your hero’s individual strengths with the talent system, which allows each of your characters to contribute to the benefit of all.



How it works:

• From level 65 you can collect EP XP in Vanguard Initiative quests. Once the EP XP bar is full, you’ll receive EP points.
  
• You can access the EP menu by clicking on the Helmet button in the menu bar and selecting “My Character” > “EP”. From here you can use your EP points to unlock powerful skill boosts and passive effects: increase the power and duration of your attacks, reduce the cooldown of your favorite skill, move faster, and, and, and…!
  
• The different talents cost varying amounts of EP points. If you select the same talent multiple times, the effect increases. You can see how the points affect your character in the talent preview on the left-hand side. Don’t forget to apply your selection at the end by clicking “Confirm”.
  
• You can fill your EP XP bar with any character on a server – the progress applies server-wide to your account. EP points which you earn on the server are credited to the personal account for each of your characters, so you can spend the full amount of points for each of them. No need to pick and choose who gets the benefits – everyone’s a winner with the talent system!

Bahaar’s Temple – Burn the Fire God!



When was the last time a god asked you for help? In Arborea it’s hardly a rare occurrence. But when was the last time you had to confront a god incarnate? Probably a long time ago – but that is your challenge in the new dungeon!
Castanica is being ravaged by fire and magic flaming stones, unmistakable evidence of Bahaar’s awakening. It’s your duty to dampen the flames on the raging fire god in his refuge in Fyrmount.

Lord of the flames, ruler of volcanoes, the mighty Bahaar has no need to hide behind his minions. He will fight you alone – and roast the flesh from your bones if you aren’t quick on your feet! With his hammer he once wrought relic weapons for the mortal races: now he’s going to use you as his anvil.
You may be a Hero of Arborea, but what are titles in the face of a god? Are you worthy of the challenge? Then cross the lava gorge east of Molten Reach and face your destiny!

Just don’t expect a god to fall at your feet…

Guardians of Arborea, lend me your ears! From Tuesday, October 30th at 4PM until 10 AM on Tuesday, November 6th, you’ll earn additional rewards for completing missions for the Guardian Legion.
