Built in the late 1860s as a vital link in America’s Transcontinental Railroad, a century and a half later, Sherman Hill still stands tall as one of the country’s most dynamic and bustling routes for rail tonnage moving across the U. S. And now, the new Train Sim World 2 Sherman Hill route brings all the elements that make Sherman Hill extraordinary – magnificent scenery, tough and demanding grades, heavy tonnage, big motive power, and an endless flow of diverse freight – to full life.

The Train Sim World 2 Sherman Hill route is anchored by two of America’s most renowned railroad cities – Cheyenne and Laramie, Wyoming. Cheyenne is home to a classic and magnificent Union Pacific depot, UP’s famed shops which are home to its heritage steam fleet, a sprawling yard, and nearby industries. Laramie is likewise a hotspot of Union Pacific main line, yard, and lineside railroading action.



Between Cheyenne and Laramie, the Sherman Hill line – traditionally known as the Laramie Subdivision of UP’s Wyoming Division – stretches across 57 memorable miles of multi-track main line that crosses a rugged spar of the Laramie Mountains and tops the American Continental Divide at 8,015-feet above sea level. With lengthy westbound gradients of up to 1.55 percent, the route is challenging, and it is mesmerizing, too, for its vast High Plains western scenery and classic railroad locations which include Sherman Summit, Dale Junction, and Union Pacific’s 1,800-foot-long Hermosa Tunnels.

Yesterday we brought an update for Core, Boston Sprinter and Cane Creek ahead of the launch for Sherman Hill on Thursday.

We are rolling out the second part of the texturing issue that has been particularly impacting those of you on Xbox.

Additionally, release times for Sherman Hill have changed from what you’ve come to expect. Traditionally console users have new content available at midnight local, this will not be the case for Sherman Hill and in the future and you should expect add-ons to become available later in the day.

• Update to textures on Xbox which should now resolve instances where players games were seen to flicker.
  
• Improved the ATC so that it will now produce a "beep" sound when changing ATC/ACSES mode and speed increase. Added appropriate check to ACSES 'STOP' aspect, ensuring it only occurs if the signal is generating an ATC 'Restricted' aspect.

• Updated SimuGraph functionality when braking the ACS-64.
  
• Improved the F40PH-3C horn sensitivity when using Keyboard and RailDriver.
  
• Various improvements to the Single deck cars.
  
• Removed 'quick release' reservoir on the F40PH-3C and Cab Car to prevent the equalising reservoir dropping.
  
• Improved braking performance at higher speeds without causing slides at lower speeds.
  
• Fixed an issue that would cause the diesel engine from losing RPM during slips on the F40PH-3C.
  
• Updated Gamepad Reset Safety System to ensure gamepad works correctly with Alerter, ACSES, ATC on the MBTA F40PH-3C
  
• Updated "APPROACH" to use 'O' (Letter) instead of '0' (Digit) when driving the ACS-64
  
• Updated the ACS-64 so that the button index for the open and close doors toggle to be on the expected side of the D-pad (left for left, right for right)
  
• Resolved instances where the switches were seen to be flickering while driving the ACS-64
  
• Updated the RailDriver layout for the headlights on the MBTA F40PH-3C so that the controls are now in the expected location.
  
• Updated seating position of Drivers on CTC-3 Cab Car, to make the look more natural. (To remove any floating feet)
  
• Updated instances where the CTC coaches were showing three digits instead four.
  
• Updated Gamepad Reset Safety System to ensure gamepad works correctly with Alerter, ACSES, ATC on the MBTA Single deck cars.
  
• Updated the formation max speed to 80mph on the MBTA Coaches.
  
• Updated numbering to fix wrong or missing numbers on BTC and CTC interiors.
  
• Minor updates to the ADU suppression and brake application indicators.

• Updated crossings on Cane Creek to allow raise/lower functionality.
  
• Made various improvements to the scenario 'LDP-46 Part 1: Brendel to Moab'
  
• Improved the position of stop markers at Moab.
  
• Added an extra switching move to pull apart the consists after splitting. This will prevent collisions which could result in derailing should the player fail to apply the train brakes.
  
• Updated the bogie height for the AC4400CW so that they are now more accurate to real life.
  
• Updated the route art on Cane Creek to remove instances where rocks were seen to be floating.
  
• Updated the route art on Cane Creek to improve road blending and tidied up the terrain.
  
• Fixed an issue which would cause the couplings to behave erroneously on the AC4400CW.

At forty-five years old the BR Class 313 EMU is the oldest EMU in regular service across Britain’s railway network, having served the outer suburbs of London in a variety of liveries since the 1970s, you can now enjoy this stalwart of the British Railways era in its most modern guise on the scenic Train Sim World 2: East Coastway. Painted in the green and white livery of Southern, the BR Class 313 EMU is enhanced with Coastway branding and refurbished with a variety of modern features that better accommodate a new generation of commuters, tourists, and football fans who regularly use the East and West Coastway out of Brighton.




This highly detailed new Add-On puts you in the cab of the veteran BR Class 313 EMU, beautifully detailed to simulate a feature-rich and realistic driving experience, with lovingly recreated performance, sounds, and handling. This plucky little three-car unit regularly runs in pairs, particularly on busy summer or match days, with Scenario Planner you have the freedom to run it as either .
