Crikey! Ampersat was released a couple of weeks ago to a great response (thanks!) and now legendary publisher MicroProse just announced my next game! In "CrossOver: Roll For Initiative" defend your tabletop RPG character sheet from tiny pixel monsters who've crossed over into our world. Yes, it's another weird game :D
Fans of PuzzleQuest and TTRPGs should really dig it and, well, just about anyone really. It's the most hardcore casual game ever ;) Folks who liked Ampersat's merging of ASCII and voxels should also appreciate the merger of pixels in a realistic 3D environment.
We’re taking a short break from showcasing tools this week. We at Far From Home are busy preparing something very special for you all. Keep your eyes out for that and the Repair Tool deep dive coming soon.
But, we couldn’t let you go without any content at all. So behold, we prepared a short video clip of storm & rain effects in the game. Leave the video a like, subscribe to our official YouTube channel and make we hope you enjoy! (Watch with headphones if possible.)
Storms and rain play an important role in the world above the dust.
Whilst thunderstorms can be dangerous both to you and your airship, the water is essential to your survival!
As soon as you’re able, you will want to 3D print yourself some Water Collectors. These devices can be dotted around your aiships exterior, to gather up as much rain as possible!
You’re probably thinking that once you’ve collected water, you’re good to go and grab a straw huh? WRONG! Drinking water directly from rain clouds is bad…very bad for your health. Earth is no longer hospitable to humanity after all. (Or you could drink it and see what happens?)
From here, water needs to be collected up and placed in a Water Purifier.
This process does take some time. But once finished, you will have completely clean and fresh water to drink!
Now that you have your water system in place on your airship, you will be looking forward to the next spot of rain!
What are your thoughts? Do you like the weather effects? Are you going to risk drinking unfiltered rainwater? Let us know and leave a like!
It is 1943. Between the brutal stalemales, brutal winter and armies of marauding tanks, the Germans find themselves pinned or retreating throughout Russia.
But, as spring of 1943 approaches, the wehrmacht perhaps has some cause for optimism. The lessons of the last few years have surely been learnt. The Russians have surely taken incalculable losses. Surely a well thought out strike now could see the end of the war.
We are delighted to announce that Panzer Corps 2: Axis Operations 1943 is out now, and with it comes the turning point in the most brutal part of the war.
Will you be able to change history and lead Germany to victory? Or will overcoming the Russian defences prove too problematic to attempt? Either way, this extensive DLC will offer hours of tactical depth and challenge to keep you engaged right up until the final moment.
As with other Axis Operations content, you’ll be able to jump right into this DLC with your existing core. If you don’t have one, don’t worry, as you can also play with our specially tuned premade core.
Panzer Corps 2: Axis Operations 1943 is available now on the Slitherine store, Steam, Epic Games and GoG.

A new agent is now available in the game! Welcome a newcomer in the Riflemen ranks, Javier Ortego, aka Agent "Baudo"! Javier is a former rebel fighter and an excellent mercenary.
The Agent is part of the seasonal update "Rock Solid". You can find more information about it in the dedicated article.
DETAILS
Javier grew up in a good Colombian family: his father was a dentist, his mother owned a business. The boy lived quite well, and after his older brother Esteban died in a car accident, his parents began to treat him like he was made of glass. Despite having good savings, they went into debt anyway, just to get their son into an expensive university. What a surprise it was when during his second year in university, Javier simply disappeared! However, for Javier, this was quite a logical step: his parents were never interested in his own opinions and desires. The young man dreamed of freeing himself from his overprotective parents. In addition, he secretly befriended ordinary working-class children and generally despised the middle-class life.
Javier hasn't been seen or heard from in years. He then found himself in Bolivia, where he led a small rebel group to attack the camp of a logging corporation. Then there were many more attacks like that all over South America. Javier’s squad grew into an independent army that played an important role in overthrowing several dictatorial regimes. Seven years after his escape, Colonel Ortega returned to his native Colombia. He visited his parents in the hope that they would understand him, but the family reunion was far from ideal. It was only after long and strenuous conversations that Javier was able to get his parent's forgiveness and their blessing. Then he finally decided to fulfill his long-held dream: to cleanse his native country of drug traffickers.
The resistance proved to be much stronger than Javier had hoped, and this time his armies faced real pressure. The country plunged into civil war, Ortega lost people and support, even his parents turned against him again. After a year and a half of intense fighting, Javier’s army was defeated, but he miraculously survived. Javier left Latin America and became a mercenary. Even in his new occupation, he didn't stray from his ideals: he takes on contracts that involve overthrowing other dictators, fighting criminal cartels or corporate mayhem.

Hello, we are MazM, the development team of <Thy Creature>.
It's been three months since Early Access opened. The first Devlog would like to share the concepts of the bosses who will appear in the future.
<BOSS : Madness> "There's so much inside you... that I'd like to unravel."
<BOSS : Happiness> "Come here, I will free you from this terrible pain."
<BOSS: Disgust> "You're amazing. unlike me."
<BOSS : Loss> "... ..."
A total of four additional bosses will appear in the release version. Each boss has special memories, You'll be able to see various difficulty levels of bullet hell and puzzles to feel the boss' theme.
[Question to character artist]
[Q] What was the focus of the boss characters' concept? [A] I wanted to design characters that can be attractive to users while melting the themes of each floor of the tower, which is the stage of <Thy Creature>, so I focused on that part the most.
[Q] Were there any boss characters that were particularly difficult to work on? What's the reason? [A] The Madness boss was the hardest. Now, it has been organized as "Madness about knowledge," but in the beginning, it was "Madness about Victor's 'CREATION OF LIFE' knowledge," and all the elements in the theme were strong keywords, so I remember having a hard time focusing on where to design.
[Q] What was your favorite boss character? What's the reason? [A] I like the design of the Happiness boss the most. It worked out when I worked on the concept and it's my personal preference.
That's all for this Devlog. In the next Devlog, We will come back with new elements. Thank you.
