Hey everyone !

First of all, i need to answer some questions some of you might have.
Why did it take so much time to release this update ?

We got extremly unlucky. Right after the halloween update, i fell extremely sick twice in a row, causing us to be unable to release the rest of the Tricks & Trick update.
To compensate, our coders worked hard on a christmas update that..... couldn't come out.... as we run into an unfixable bug with our Unity version.
That meant we had to completly upgrade from our 2017 version to 2022, wich is a HUGE GAP.
And needless to say, a lot of stuff broke, so we had to fix up the game, it took us months, but here we are, finally ! On a new, clean and modern version of the engine, wich opens the door to a lot of things !

We had to change how the saves are handled due to the engine update

So here is the update, we had a lot of names for it... Onirism Forever, Onirism prime 4 etc...

We bring you a COMPLETE OVERHAUL of the VERSUS mode, wich is now called PLAYGROUND

It is no longer a Multiplayer only gamemode, as we bring forth BOT SUPPORT !
Add up to 15 Carol bots for complete Chaos !

Playground come with 10 different gamemodes !


Napmatch: Classic arena mode, get the most eliminations to win !


Team Napmatch: Bring your team to victory by getting the most eliminations !


Queen of the playground: Zones will appear on the map, Stay in it to score points !


Team Playground: Control the zones with your team !


Hug the Bunbun: Grab bunbun and cuddle it for the longest to win ! Steal it from other Carols if needed


Capture the Bunbun: Capture the enemy team Bunbun and bring it back to your base !


Bully: One Carol will become the bully, and another will become the target, as a bully, eliminate the target to score, as other players, put the bully to sleep to become the bully.


The Girl with the Shiny gun: Grab the shiny gun, as it is the only weapon that can score points !


Domination: Turn the nightlamps to your team color to score points !


Virus Tag: After a bit, one Carol will become infected, don't let her infect you ! As an infected, use your special abilities to catch up to survivors !

All the old versus maps have been removed, as we crafted a whole new batch of them !

This was supposed to be the Christmas update, but the engine change took a few months to complete

Ali Jones from GamesRadar+ already admitted that Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles is his most-anticipated city-builder in 2024. He played the demo and fell "in love with its chunky, almost LEGO-style systems". Yet the best impression was still ahead. We have noticed that many players are unable to play the game properly because the save files are damaged due to not using the system's built-in exit function to close the game. Please use the exit button in the system settings to exit the game when quitting.

If you are already experiencing issues with playing the game normally, please follow these steps:

We apologize for the inconvenience! It seems to be an issue caused by damaged save files. Please start by closing Steam Cloud. Navigate to the directory C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\LocalLow\DigitalDream\DesktopGirlfriendNeo and delete the .es3 file. Then, launch the game again. When exiting Desktop Girlfriend NEO, please use the exit button in the settings. Once you save again, you can re-enable Steam Cloud and overwrite the cloud save with the local save.
Sea Fantasy - METASLA
Hello everyone!
This is the Sea Fantasy development team.

We want everyone to be able to play Sea Fantasy as soon as possible,
so we will be releasing a demo version of the game at the Steam Next Fes in June!

We are not sure how much you will be able to play,
but we are working on a demo version that will allow you to experience the entire world and game system!

Hello Major,

New patch is major is actually being pushed right now on PC.

In fact, it corrects the saves problems as well as the various specific problems that prevented players from completing certain missions.

Code
• Fixed GOG builds not registering some achievements properly
• Fixed a rare occurence in which a scout team could not be awarded resources a quest promised them
• Fixed a save made when an operation emergency is waiting for player's reaction potentially breaking after load when continuously doing the save-load loop in the same gameplay session
• Fixed a crash that could occur if a player loaded a game in which a truck comes back with resources from some location
• Fixed a number of errors that could cause a savestate to be loaded improperly and show the loading screen overlaying the gameplay
• Fixed a rare instance of workers potentially stuck on custom missions once they are complete
• Fixed a small number of niche old issues that could linker in some savestates

Design
• East Asian fonts made approx. 25% bigger in most places to improve readability
• Fixed UI toggle shortcuts being available when in decision views (like Operation Emergency) which could lead to decisions being made accidentally by the player
• Fixed UI toggle shortcuts being available when inside CCS, Rehabilitation Tent or Scout Tent (it caused unintended behaviour)
• Fixed doctor's rest marker resetting on its own if the doctor was not tired at all when the marker was being set
• Fixed VIP medic brothers potentially breaking ordering of new medics from HQ after a save/load loop
• "Not enough medicine" info no longer overrides info on how long a doctor will be resting, when set to rest
• Fix for wrong option description appearing in Worries About the Daughter Scout Quest in chatper 2

• Fixed inspection of the Patients in the CCS showing erroneous info before entering Rehabilitation Tent
• Fixed the Enter Scout Tent button for Mouse controls in the top left corner not showing properly at the very start of Chapters 2 and 3

Hi all, here I am with a new devlog on my upcoming project!

Last time I talked about the new map I was developing, a small village located near an abandonded factory, which hides an ancient legend.



At the moment I am working on the factory area, a dark and mysterious place where something unsettling has just happened.



Since the moment you arrive at the village it’s clear that something is wrong.

So you decide to venture towards the old factory, where you’ll see something you won’t be able to explain rationally.

CREATING: LIMBO
The story of making a world where everything started

Hi, everyone!

Although the world of Atomic Heart as a whole is full of mysteries, encouraging our players to ask new questions and create new fan theories, Limbo remains the most mysterious part of it.

With the release of our 2nd story DLC Atomic Heart: Trapped In Limbo, the twisted world created by visionary Artem ‘Artep’ Galeev has opened its veil of secrets even more.

But to better understand this world, we decided to trace back its origins and share the backstory behind the concept that started the Atomic Heart universe.

In the late 90s, Artem became fascinated with creating a world of the unconscious, a world of fairy tales—an alternative to technocracy. This was purely a passion project he pursued in parallel with his primary work. That's why the first concept was finally formed only in 2004-2006. And the working title for it was "Varoli’s Bridge".

The main protagonists of this world were the heroine Belka, dressed in a white fur coat with a tail, and the already well-known hero—Newton.



They traveled through a surreal world filled with towns, and villages populated by various marvelous characters. Each of these places had a different economic, political, and social structure.



The protagonists' goal was to reach the lighthouse, the Varoli’s Bridge, to find the way out of the world.
But the inhabitants enthralled the heroes with the vicissitudes of their destinies, involving and twisting their path into dead-ends and strands of endless adventures.



The world map looked like the divisions of the cortex and brainstem. The very name "Varoli’s Bridge" is a section of the brain passing through the middle of its hemispheres:



It symbolizes the social unconscious—the part of the brain where everyone is all the same in their functional abilities. This whole world was full of profound themes and ideas. Even the images of the main characters dressed in white fur coats represent the perfectionism and deification of man’s essence and the unrestrained attempt of society to bring itself to the ideal and to rise above nature.



But with the concept's further development, it became clear that it was getting too complex and the ideas it contained would be more difficult to convey in simple terms while retaining the original meaning.

So at this point, it was necessary to go back to the origins of world creation and focus on technology and science as a prologue to Limbo, which, by then, had already got its famous name. Thus, all Limbo characters were moved to a more familiar alternative real world.
For example, Sechenov was created based on Mr. Sponger's character, who lived in a sponge in the Limbo world. The current image of Granny Zina was created based on the fact that back then, in the world of Limbo, she originally had supernatural powers and personified matriarchy. And there are many similar examples!

But it wasn't just Limbo's characters who were able to find their place in the new environment—the world structure of Limbo with its political and social specifics was embodied in Facility 3826.

As Artem mentioned in his last interview on the PCGamesN portal:
“To us, everything in the world of Limbo may seem absurd, and to the inhabitants of Limbo, our real world also seems absurd. Everything became interconnected—worlds are spliced together like a DNA helix”.



Also, one of the most common questions about Limbo's visual identity is about the meaning of the polka dot pattern. Actually, it’s one of the natural fractals that can be found in cellular structure, bee honeycomb, matrix, etc. This pattern was chosen to highlight objects in Limbo that emerged from the natural world. This way, they attract the attention of insects and animals in order to be eaten for the sake of reproduction and increasing the population.

With the release of Trapped In Limbo, our second story DLC, some players were surprised by this variation of this world. Considering all of the above, it’s the same place but a different part of it, and now it’s much easier to spot some connections: sugar carbohydrates, calories, cold fusion for energy, a jellyfish-shaped turbojet engine, bacteria, eating carbohydrates from which houses are made, and much more.



There’s also another direct quote from Artem from the last interview that is worth mentioning:
“Since the world of Limbo is strikingly different from the real world, the gameplay, its mechanics, and the overall mood are also different now. These unconventional mechanics were specifically chosen to blow minds”.

The music and soundscapes of Atomic Heart's world are completely different as well and have a bigger story behind them that we may be sharing in the future.

But Geoffrey Day, one of our talented music composers and a lovely human being decided to share a sneak peek. Just recently he posted a video detailing the creation process behind the “Cookie Crumbler”—one of the tracks from the Trapped In Limbo DLC#2 and OST VOL.4 as well:




Limbo is the source of the entire Atomic Heart’s universe. And it’s almost like a gift box from which new surprising details of the setting emerge each time—like a fractal generating its copy in the process of formation. And this is how this mad and colorful world in the end created itself.
