Dear Pioneers,

Nostos has been released for more than a month. The Dev team realized that there were many improve points in the game. We will keep solving these problems.

Here is the update plan that we released last month and plan completion:
  1. Implement VR smooth turning and fix the issue of slipping while moving in VR mode;
    • This function has been developed. Player can adjust the smooth turning angle in the setting interface.

  2. Solve some fatal problems including server files recovery and file reading failure;
    • The problem of failing to load the save has been solved. There is still a very low chance that game world will not be created. If you have this issue, please contact us immediately.

  3. Fix VR equipment supporting issues for Index, WMR, Oculus;
    • We did all the adaptation work once except WMR. If you still got adaptation problem, please record a vedio and contact us immediately. The adaptation of WMR will be released in February.

  4. Improve game performance, including NPC loading, interface opening, and scene loading;
    • Part of the optimization has been completed. The current low fps issues have improved. We will continue to optimize and each subsequent version should improve.

  5. Readjust bandits' attack rhythms, game rhythms, and the position of some mission's boss. Random rewards will be given based on player's completion;
    • Random rewards havn't been implemented yet, it may be implemented in February. The difficulty of the bandits and battle experience have been rebalanced, but we still hope players should clear the missions by team work.

  6. Release a survival-challenge mode for players who love challenges;
    • The challenge mode has been released, and there are more adjustments in the future, such as random monsters, battles, resource generation, and random rewards by clear the mission to encourage players challenge repeatedly.

  7. Optimize UI and game interaction. It is still in the planning stage, but we plan to make it more realistic and solid;
    • We are gradually optimizing the interaction of some panels, especially on VR. Such as backpacks and warehouse panels, coming soon.

  8. Improve the storyline, launch Mission5 "The Awakened" and Mission6 "Henosis";
    • The new mission is testing currently, the chapter "The Awakened" is expected to be released in February, and the chapter "Henosis" will be released in March.

  9. Release some small events and special rewards for Christmas;
    • Hope everyone make some fun during the Christmas event, the next festival event may be in February.

  10. Fix the issue where players cannot block voice and players will be able to tell who is talking from the overhead information;
    • We did some adjustments in voice part, and it should not that easy to be interfered by others' voice for now.

  11. Add more guidance information in the lobby;
    • Hints for various portals have been added in the lobby, as well as hints for operations, adding more hints constantly.

  12. Add more rewards in side quests to make the game abundant and appealing;
    • We have added special weapons and decorations in side quest. Friendly hint: completing the side quest will have a better game experience.

  13. Support more languages, Japanese version will available soon;
    • The Japanese version has been released, if you find any translation issue, please contact us to fix it.

  14. Optimize NPC's AI performance, now NPC can do more things and no longer get stuck;
    • We have made some adjustments: AI should not be easy to get stuck (100% cannot be guaranteed, 99.8% probably), and when their get low health, they will use medicine, get powerful weapons and equipment automatically.

  15. Players will be able to repair items and sow;
    • This is still in progress, we expect to release it in February.

  16. Try to open some graphic and control settings, so you can customize game performance.
    • Currently, the graphic settings are gradually opened, including the grass vegetation distance, volume cloud switch, etc. are coming soon.

  1. Added steps to find the reason for the house burning in the Mission " Hero ".
  2. In the Mission " Treasure " , Player must now pay attention to the escaping The Crow enemies to find The Crow camp.

【Challenge Mode】
  1. A new game mode is open now--challenge mode, where you need to resist enemies' constant attack and protect the Totem Pole.
  2. In challenge mode, different rewards will be given according to different scores, including the new costumes of Alniyat and Kett.
  3. Player cannot unlock the challenge mode until mission "The Panacea" has been completed, and players who have completed before the update need to complete it again.

  • Added Japanese for interface and subtitles;
  • Adjusted the snowball launcher's explosion damage;
  • Adjusted the color of the snow in the lobby;

【"Midwinter" in Nostos】
The traditional Festival "Midwinter" in Nostos (December 24 to January 15)
  1. The limited-time festival mission "Midwinter Event" is released, which can be completed by Alniyat and Kett.
  2. This event offers you a unique experience in Nostos, where the world will be clad with silvery white during the Midwinter. In this mission you can obtain Alniyat and Kett's Midwinter festival costume, and Midwinter home decorations permanently for free!
  3. Midwinter festival decoration is also added to the game lobby. During the festival, you can obtain holiday gifts by openning 3 gift boxes under the holiday tree.

Dear Pioneers:

Midwinter, a winter festival that belongs to the native pioneers. At this time, it is generally the coldest day of the year, from hill to hill no bird in flight; from path to path no man in sight. The develop team also brought the festival-exclusive skins and rewards to all Pioneers!







Players who meet the following conditions will receive an extra reward during the event!

 1. Successfully log in to the game lobby before 0:00 am, Dec 23 PST. (Player have to enter into the lobby, just stay in the login interface is not calculated)
2. Successfully log in to the game during the Midwinter Festival (Midwinter Event Time: Dec 24, 2019 to Jan 2 2020 PST).


Note: When player log in the game and obtain the exclusive decoration (Crystal Snowman), there is no notification in the game, player can check this reward in personal lodge directly, the golden gate which locate in left side of the lobby (on the piano, as shown below).
