While I’ve my issues with Amazon’s global mega-monopoly, I can’t deny that the monthly sack of games that Twitch gives out to Amazon Prime subscribers is an oft-impressive bunch. This month more impressive than most – it’s a bundle of Devolver Digital’s best, including Broforce, both Hotline Miami games, Strafe (much improved by updates), Crossing Souls, The Swords of Ditto and recently lauded ninja platformer The Messenger. You can grab a month of Prime (even the free trial) and once it lapses you get to keep the games, to be launched through the Twitch desktop app.

Update: Until December 31st, Twitch Prime also gives you the SNK Bundle, Hacknet: Complete Edition, Smoke & Sacrifice and Poi, all of which you get copies for yourself to keep and a spare to give to friends. The Devolver pack doesn’t come with extra gifts, but is available until January 31st.>

STRAFE: Millennium Edition - Daddy Tickles
We are happy to announce we are now able to support Linux.



With some volunteer help we were able to get a well working version tested on Debian 10 Buster. This is our first build for Linux and as always any issues please email to feedback@wearepixeltitans.com we will do our best to address any and all major issues.

With the Linux build also comes some minor compatibility updates to PC and Mac including fixes that hopefully resolve the following problems:

• Fix for 16x10 and maybe other monitor resolutions not quite applying correctly

• Possible fix for specific resolutions causing inconsistent horizontal and vertical mouse speed

• Fix for systems trying to boot the application as 32-bit

We have another update hot and ready from of the oven. This update brings some new content and fixes as well as some QoL changes for our speed running community.

We also looked at the data and made some difficulty changes that should help new players without effecting veterans much at all.

This update also brings a price drop to $14.99.


CONTENT

+ Added Tips during level loads to help teach players about deeper systems*
+ Added Five new Mutators:
- When I move you move
- Jetpack Adventure
- Slappers
- STRAFE: RPG
- Locked Seed

BALANCE AND TWEAKS

+ EZ Mode damage the player receives reduced 33%
+ Glutton damage reduced 33%
+ Harvester base health reduced 25%
+ Harvester head shot effectiveness increased 33%
+ Sluggard damage reduced 25%
+ Explosion damage to the player reduced 25%
+ Rearranged barrel and c4 damage caps to happen before damage reduction is applied
+ Teleporters now only require 3 pieces to unlock
+ Power up that allows barrels to be pulled doesn't have a cook time
+ You can skip Gun Duchess animations
+ Burbs rats secret reduced from 9 to 5 rats
+ Thruster item re-balanced and fixed issues that made accidental activation common
+ Changed Athena laser grid doors to allow more clever speed running tricks
+ Space bar can be held to speed up coin filling bar at the end of runs

PERFORMANCE

+ Optimized a few aspects of enemies to increase performance in all zones
+ Solved rare issue that could cause fps to spiral to extremely low numbers until the next level
+ Reduced memory usage while playing levels (this may fix some rare crashes)
+ Improved performance of Athena

BUG FIXES

+ Fixed a few specific crashes sent in via the feedback email
+ Gluttons can no longer get stuck in place
+ Fixed issue that allowed little joby to purchase invisibility cloaks
+ Fixed issue that allowed soft locks to happen when robbing the second merchant
+ Fixed issue that would cause jumps to mis register when speed running
+ Fixed issue where enemies could attack you while loading into the jump map
+ Fixed issue where scrambled enemies Mutator could damage you on level load
+ Fixed soft lock where players could pick up a keycard head while dropping one and cause one to disappear
+ Fixed issue where players were able to earn mastery crowns when they were actually inactive when playing the STRAFEZONE


* Since we don't have the budget for localization and the overwhelming majority of our audience is English speaking the tips are only available in English at the moment.

As we've been working to bring the Millennium Edition update to the PS4 there were some fixes and quality of life updates we decided to roll into the PC version for people who play with a gamepad.

Also we added some fun stuff.

+ Added Cloud Saves
+ Fixed bug causing unintended strobe effect on low performance mode during scripted lighting events
+ Fix for saved runs corrupting when going back and forth between a saved run and murderzone
+ Fixed bug stopping two projectile types from being reflect-able with the wrench
+ Fix for error giving backpedal penalty too often when playing with a gamepad
+ Fix for error sometimes leading to inconsistent aim speed when playing with gamepad on pc
+ Adjusted Joystick input curves for the right stick
+ Adjusted Joystick sensitivity acceleration
+ Added two new control schemes for gamepad
+ Removed small visual glitch during Devolver intro
+ Added hidden feature-length STRAFE® screenplay

Hey Killers,
We’ve been quiet recently and it’s because we’ve been hard at work on the next update for STRAFE®. We’ve taken our feedback (both praise and criticism) and used it to shape the direction of this update within our vision for the game. You can read a bit more about that HERE.

This update changes the game quite a bit. We’ve added 2 new game modes, new enemies, updated AI, polished weapons, your run can now be saved (but only loaded once) and a persistent unlock system of game mutators along with a shit-ton of other changes. We’ve made sure to keep our vision of STRAFE® intact but worked to deepen the best parts.

We wanted to release this update in the middle of September but did not because it needed more time. Our team is currently 3 people so our speed is dictated by that. We feel it’s better to release it in a solid state then land on an arbitrary date so we’re psyched to say that we found a compromise.

If you’re interested, you can play the update right now and help us test it out. It is beta and you may run into bugs. It’s very helpful to us to document them and send us details. We can only fix what we know about. You can find details HERE.

When we feel that the update is ready we will roll the changes into the main branch for everyone to play! We feel it will not be too long, but who know what people will find.

Here’s a list of the major changes coming in the next update, we are still at work on fixes & balance so this list will get longer by the time we release the update.

When the update is finished it will be coming to Steam & GOG first and then we will focus on bringing it to the PS4. (beta access only on steam, and a reminder that the SPEED ZONE and STRAFE ZONE are only available on steam as well)

We've been splitting our time between fixes & new content.

If you were having trouble being the Sergent of Slaughter that you knew you were born to be we've got a new mode for you. We've invented the "E-Z Discovery Zone" to help you stay alive longer.

We hope this mode will help new & casual players survive longer in the game and help give them a more obtainable challenge.

30% less incoming Damage
20% slower projectiles

• Added Optional Slow-Mo training tool (MURDER TIME) to easy difficulty
• Fixed issue causing some weapons to not fire as intended when playing with the railgun

• Updated the directional damage indicators to be more useful
• Added safety colliders to Luftenstein secret to fix rare issues
• Modified menu art to read more clearly
