This is a general notice to all Playism titles. From June 14th onwards, I (Cheru) will no longer be Playism's community manager. After over 4 years of working passionately in Playism, I have decided to leave and change direction. I am sad that I won't be working and playing with you all as a member of Playism anymore, however, I will still be around on Steam.
Thank you everyone for the amazing communities you have built around Playism games and I hope that you will all continue to enjoy their games for years to come.
We hope you are doing great and enjoying all the Playism games!
As Playism is based in Japan, we wanted to notify you all that due to the extended Japanese holidays this year for Golden Week at the start of May, we will be closing our offices and operations from April 27th to May 6th.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, however, we will be back on May 7th, and shall handle all issues from then onwards.
For Japan, the console release date has been set and preorders for the package version have begun, but we're still in talks regarding what to do for regions outside of Japan.
This is due to the fact that this physical version release is a really huge thing for us, and we've decided that it would be nigh impossible for us to handle both Japan and non-Japan versions simultaneously on our own.
There are no Japanese indie publishers with their very own distribution line, and our domestic Japanese distributor, KONAMI (yeah, that KONAMI. That's right - La-Mulana is getting released by KONAMI.) is technically a separate company from KONAMI overseas.
So while I can't promise anything, if and when we do go for an overseas release, we hope to do something kinda special to commemorate it.
Anyways. The porting work that we ended up being fully involved in is almost totally finished.
Now, I'm going to start working on the production of rewards.
On a related note, today I'd like to ask for everyone's opinion on the t-shirts.
The staff t-shirts we wore when showing off the finished title at the 2018 Tokyo Game Show have undergone a renewal.
However, I don't think there will be any more opportunities for us to show off the game at events here in Japan. Therefore, we've only made several of these t-shirts.
This is the design we've been using ever since we started up the Kickstarter campaign.
There are several of these out in the wild here in Japan, mainly in the hands of super passionate fans and people who've helped us out a lot. I think we may have even given a couple to some indie devs from overseas as well.
I feel like this design - with Lumisa looking all bad-ass - is the way to go for the reward t-shirts. I dig this design. But I can't make up my mind on which design to go with.
Personally, I feel like the second one - the older design - is more symbolic of Kickstarter, but what do you think?
I guess the colors would be the same, but it also depends on the colors available at the t-shirt printing company we use.
As for text, should we stick "Kickstarter" or "LA-MULANA Project" or something like that on it, or something like "I'm a Backer!" in big, in-your-face text?
On February 26th (Tue.), Touhou Luna Nights - which was available on Early Access - was updated to Ver. 1.0! To commemorate this milestone update, we're releasing a bundle of PLAYISM's popular Metroidvania titles.
We hope you enjoy this batch of beloved Metroidvania titles, proudly brought to you by PLAYISM. Each one is a true gem, painstakingly crafted and tailored for players of all kinds, from total beginners to action game veterans to straight-up masochists. If you're a Metroidvania fan, then you'll love each and every title in this lineup.
Touhou Luna Nights
The latest title from Team Ladybug, developers of a wide variety of action games. Take on the role of maid "Sakuya Izayoi", who possesses the power to control time and who has been sent against her will to a strange, mysterious world by her mistress, "Remilia"... Touhou Luna Nights features beautifully detailed sprite animation and the "grazing" system - specially tweaked for action games - for which the "Touhou Project" is known.
Momodora: Reverie Under The Moonlight
Momodora: Reverie Under The Moonlight is the fourth installment in the beloved Momodora series of 2D platformers. Unleash ravaging combos against a variety of formidable monsters and deftly dodge your way through a cursed land to seek audience with the Queen and dispel the evil that threatens all life.
LA-MULANA is an “Archaeological Ruin Exploration Action Game,” bringing the classic appeal of adventure with the punishing difficulty of retro-inspired gaming. Search inside ancient ruins, seeking out the “Secret Treasure of Life” – which sleeps in the sprawling ruins of “LA-MULANA” and is said to be the beginning of all civilization. Unfortunately, priceless artifacts very rarely give themselves up easily.
The long-awaited sequel to La-Mulana, La-Mulana 2 follows Lumisa Kosugi as she explores the ancient ruins of La-Mulana. Desperate to find the cause of the recent slew of monsters appearing from the ruins, Lumisa discovers the "other" La-Mulana: the ruins known as Eg-Lana.
On top of having up to 80% off, we also have some exciting news!
