Far better then its predecessor, though you should still get its expansion pack before playing. A lot more variety in gameplay and more strategic.

Play it modded. the vanilla experience is lacking, but ive never seen a better Custom Ship maker. 4x. Add armor plates and weapons to an xy grid.

Full on voxel ships, for sea, sky and space (and land apearently). control is a bit wonky, but the game plays alot like an advanced Minecraft mod.

You all loved modular spaceships, now try one with a physics engine, its pretty amazing, its also great for team games.
