Controller. No matter if it's an Xbox or DualShock, there are button prompts for both controllers.

Controller recommended for comfiest experience. Keyboard keys are rebindable, controller buttons are not, but the default scheme is not bad at all.

Keyboard. I know this game isn't supporting controller natively, but you still have an option to aim with mouse (which is less responsive) or keyboard.

Whatever you like more. Controller scheme is just like Dark Souls'. I played with Keyboard & Mouse and it was really good. Keyboard keys are rebindable.
