The rare deck-building game that is well executed throughout - perhaps not a surprise given Richard Garfield's involvement in the design.

Great throwback to 80s action movie attitude and 80s platform shooter style. If you liked either of those two things, play this game.

If you ever loved an arcade game, this game is for you. It has all the magic of the original classics like the arcade Donkey Kong series, but with a very-welcome modernized controller feel.

This is a fabulous design for a co-op game - a must-try if you like cooperative multiplayer. The controls are horribly bad, so that aspect is frustrating, but it's well worth playing nonetheless.

It's different, and more of an activity than a game per se, but "if this is the kind of thing you think you might like, you are really going to like this" :)

One of the few stand-out "metroidvania" games. Inspired art direction and well-executed pixel art style make for a unique experience reminiscent of the old Psygnosis platformers.

This is the sequel to Pikmin that Nintendo should have made but never did. If you liked Pikmin, this game is for you.

If you like the Crimsonland genre, this is a pleasant implementation of it with a nice art style and surprising variety of play based on your character/weapon choice.

While too reliant on point-and-click semantics, The Long Dark does manage to capture a certain atmosphere of survival rarely achieved in games.
