Charming, gorgeous (it's all handmade, mostly from paper) and surprisingly challenging at times. Loved it from start to (sadly too soon) finish.

Do you like typography, history and platforming? Seriously then, it's a no brainer. The history documents suffer in translation sometimes though.

A great puzzle game wrapped in a haunting atmosphere and a really compelling story of Cold War paranoia, xenophobia and sacrifice.

Act 1 is amazing and it only improves from there! Great design, brilliant writing and an amazing atmosphere. The sound work is phenomenal!

Evoland is the tale of two games. The parody, homage, humour and writing are all top notch, even if the gameplay leaves something to be desired.

I'm not sure it's a 'game' but exploring the lives of Dan and his family then making the hard decisions to influence their lives is really engaging.

Beautiful game. Very short, yes, but it's all only about 100mb and free so who can complain. A great example of writing with no dialogue.

I don't know why some of the best writing is coming from zombie games, but between this and The Last of Us, I'm not complaining...

As creepy, brilliant and dark as it is gorgeous. It will draw you into this painstakingly created world - only downside is the wait between chapters!
