Pillars is a perfect blend of artful storytelling, clever worldbuilding, and complex RPG mechanics. If you like Western RPG's, this is a must-play.

Another great, old-school, isometric, turn-based RPG from Spiderweb. If you enjoy classic, Western RPG gameplay this has dozens of hours of adventure.

A stunning, modern return to the gameplay of the original Wizardry and Bard's Tale games. There isn't much story here, but it is a great dungeon crawl.

Clearly a labor of love, the underlying RPG mechanics beneath the stylized, simple artwork are solid and offer excuses for multiple playthroughs.

A slow-paced, co-op, puzzle/platformer that is beautifully animated. It has less replay than other games on this list, but fills its niche very well.

You will be frustrated by this incredibly difficult, hard-core rogue-like. Nevertheless, the wide range of strategies and ship make for deep gameplay.

Pure, cooperative, nostalgic arcade fun. The character advancement gives you plenty of excuses to keep coming back and slaughtering with your friends.

Adventure games are an acquired taste, but if you don't mind pointing and clicking, the storytelling and humor in the Deponia series is top-notch.

If you don't mind a dark and depressing denouement, the world of Bioshock Infinite is rich, detailed, beautifully-realized, and well-acted.
