Imaginative 2D platformer-shooter with an incredible story, and fun gameplay. Hard as balls. Like, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Turn-based fantasy rpg, explore a dungeon, beat up bad guys etc. Great sense of humour, soothing music. Very grindy, particularly with permadeath on.

Creepy top-down shooter/platformer/Zelda thingy. A great blend of well designed gameplay and incredible theming. Can be a little laggy though.

Addictive space strategy/combat game. Really rewards learning the systems/balance of the game, definitely a learning curve but can be very satisfying.

Very very accessible tower defense. Lovely cartoonish aesthetic, shallow learning curve, really solid gameplay.

Fantastic steal-everything-which-isn't-nailed-down-simulator. Sneaking through banks etc. The multiplayer is particuarly amazing, single player alright.

Al's favourite grand strategy/time hole by the masters, Paradox Interactive. Build your medieval country, find america, wars, all that jazz.

Turn-based alien extermination. Lots of depth, with heaps of different weapons/abilities, both on you and on the ET's themselves.

Fantastic multiplayer spell-slinging fun. Neat system for combining spell elements to make your own death blast of choice. Technically has singleplayer.
