The spiritual successor to the «Devil May Cry»-series receives a very good PC port. Not only is the game a classic, but it's optimized really well and thus can be run even on quite old machines.

Not as impressive as «Dark Souls», but it is still one of last year’s best games. The PC version also works great, with no mods needed this time.

A reboot that distills the hectic awesomeness of the original, whilst eliminating the problem of infinite pattern-play by good use of time constraints.

Overlooked «Gears of War» clone where you take down mecha by destroying individual body parts. Plays better with mouse and keyboard than controller.

Excellent action adventure with a chain-swinging Gabriel Belmont versus tons of monsters. Sometimes a bit linear, but the scenery is nice along the way.

«Astebreed» is an indie release with economic yet polished assets. It presents an excellent learning curve for those wanting an introduction to SHMUPS.

This is probably the most awesome game about ninjas with high heels in the history of man. Sword-cutting physics are phenomenally entertaining.
