Not a great shooter, but the alternate-60's Earth where the Nazis won is full of great details and varied locations, from the moon to the sea floor.

An interesting take on fantasy 4X, the game's gorgeous art style (reportedly inspired by the Game of Thrones credits) will drive you to explore.

This is an excellent dopey adventure game. The locations are stitched together from actual photographs, and given sparse, dramatic coloring. Lovely.

The only modern platformer worth mentioning. The parkour-based navigation is excellent, but the star is the city. Impeccable use of lighting and color.

Leaner, more peaceful, more violent, and crazier than its predecessor, this is one of the best aesthetic experiences in gaming. Great music, too.

I found combining a poor shooter with Pipe Dream less compelling than others, but Rapture is one of gaming's best, most imaginative, and unique places.

Includes more time on the frozen Earth's surface, but largely a reprise of the magnificent original. Well worth your time if you can't get enough Metro.
