Designer Plays Metroidvania

I have put in my fair share of what game industry types refer to as "R&D" or "Research and Development", here meaning, playing your favorite Metroidvania games for hours and hours and calling it work.

True Roguelikes are turn-based, grid-based, procedurally generated, permadeath, dungeon crawls. Roguelikes are also one of my favorite genres. I just wish Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup was on Steam.
