There are games that I consider to be delicious. Usually that means that the game is aesthetically pleasing, and mechanically solid, though some games that tickle my tastebuds are not necessarily either.

Gorgeous to look at. Absurd story with all sorts of stupid history buff in-jokes. Tight shooter mechanics. Pretty close to perfect.

Invisible walls! Linearity! Bugs! And yet ... the first time I played, I dropped a rock on my head and died. Best Gave Ever, in other words.

Simple, but charmingly executed -- a perfect game to play with friends, or a nice little story toy to experiment with on your own.

There is just the right amount of game here to accomplish what it sets out to do. Just don't assume that you've seen everything right away.

I'd call this a flawed gem. But it doesn't outstay its welcome; the combat is interesting, and the levels beautiful.

Not nearly as impossible as it seems. Though one of its best features is how quickly on can exit the game when one is done :-)

Bloody hard. But compelling, in way that has nothing to do with skinner boxes or grinding. Beautiful, both in art and in message.
