Wasn't expecting much from it before I played it; couldn't put it down once I started. Great, well-told story and surprisingly great gameplay, with a fantastic art style and memorable characters.

An absolute train wreck. I wanted to like it, but I couldn't. Even with TemplarGFX's overhaul mod, I was STILL left wanting. The technical issues just drag it down even further. Don't buy this game.

The game we didn't know we needed. Its campaign brought the franchise roaring back to life and showed the young-uns how to do it. Multiplayer sucks, though. SnapMap's cool, but doesn't replace mods.

Like F.E.A.R., it looks awful by today's standards, but expert lighting, tension, and fantastic gameplay make it hold up regardless. It needs and deserves a remaster, and its sequel on PC. Now.

Two steps forward, too many steps backward, with a bland campaign that only heats up when it's about to close and a multiplayer suite that suffers from broken balancing and even worse map design.

Story-driven games that manage to blend gameplay with story in the way this game does are always something special. And Alan Wake exemplifies this. Just don't expect much from playthrough #2, though.

Memorable characters, an engaging storyline, and satisfying open-world gameplay. (Oxymoron, but still.) These are just a few of the amazing qualities this game has. And good PC ports are kinda rare.

This game succeeds in being both beautiful AND ugly at the same time, on many different levels. However, it's still a fun time. Not a fan of how it retcons events from the first two games, though.

Still one of the best action-horror games out there. Sure it looks terrible by today's standards, but its gameplay is still fresh. Best played in the dark with the volume up. Bring your brown pants!

Mixed feelings abound with this one. Sure it's got good gameplay both online and off, but it's a terrible PC port with too many options left out, and too much power taken away from it's community.
