No Man's Sky is a great survival exploration game. Lots of planets to discover and plenty of progression. Friends can play in the same server but are not tethered to your progress. Overall good.

Rust is great for those who like a hard core survival. Servers have a reset timer mechanic that allows new players and old players to jump in fresh and keep an even playing field. Great with friends!
