This is a tough one. I think on the whole it's a very soft rec. Really well-designed gameplay bogged down by juvenile creepypasta 3edy5me writing and visuals; it will depend what you want out of it.

This was exceptional. First, it was a truly gorgeous-looking game. But most importantly, the puzzle design was incredible. Every box feels like a completely unique experience.

I think with a good editor to keep them reigned in, and a scenario writer to help with plot, they could produce a good visual novel. But there’s nothing salvageable here in terms of gameplay.

This is an utterly brilliant escape room game, and it's flabbergasting that it's free. The puzzles are brilliantly designed and delightfully unique, and the aesthetic is original and expressive.

On the whole the game itself was enjoyable and brought something I hadn’t seen yet to the table, but the bugginess makes it pretty hard to recommend, as do the optimization issues.

So that’s the upshot, excellent tone and fun visuals , but the game and puzzle design could be a bit frustrating. On the whole I came out mostly having enjoyed it, but YMMV.

It made good on all my earlier complaints. I think the tone was right, I think it was nice-looking with solid interior design, and I think the puzzle design was really excellent.

Antipaint is a very fun, weird, lighthearted Hades-style roguelike with some oddly heady undertones that I really enjoyed. I like when goofy games are also weirdly serious, it's a great combination.
