Despite not being a big shooter guy, I had a blast jumping into Doom. Gameplay is as simple as it gets, you have gun you shoot demon big booms happen, repeat. Combat is great and the soundtrack rocks.

You are a fly, and a knight, you fight enemies. I really enjoyed the dismemberment system, cutting off an enemy's weapon arm to disarm them. Solid game you can beat in an afternoon!

DEMO - At first this starts like a time attack rougelike, you're struggling to beat bosses before the clock runs out. But with gear & relics you'll be zooming through levels in this exile-like ARPG.

The progression systems in this game are excellent. You roll for stands, merge them and build synergies to create your own personal army. Then build up your resource to take on the boss.
