2D maze + avoid single-touch kill monsters, or ragequit. Great retro theme exceeds what the 80s computers could do, but evokes it perfectly. Great storytelling too.

9/10. Equal parts Twin stick A-RPG / Metroidvania / puzzle game. No single element dominates gameplay. Strong pixel-art vibe that feels very 90s DOS/SNES.

6/10. A retro FPS, situated roughly in 1992 between Wolfenstein 3D and Doom in terms of tech. Thematically it feels like an homage to Blake Stone if anyone can remember that. Fun but not inspired.

8/10. A very earnest clone of Vampire Survivors; just enough new to be mildly fresh, but enough faithfully copied to be very fun. Simple, retro themed, looks better than VS but not hugely.

6/10. Nice 2D Pixel Art Zelda-alike w/ Good combat/movement, BUT: heavy emphasis on level-up grinding to make bosses manageable; couldn't hold my interest long enough to finish.

8/10. Adventure game / escape room featuring fun logic puzzles and semi-frequent auditory cues. Retro graphics evoke EGA Sierra era games, but more stylish, and in real 3D!

8/10. 2D platformer, with a lot of grappling hook action, which requires momentum, so you have to keep moving, making this a little bit more action and reflex heavy; ie more Sonic than Mario.

7/10. A fairly novel 2D sokoban where the path that you push things matters at least as much as where they end up. Fun + mostly casual puzzles. Retro C64 theme features OK pixelart, but awful music.

5/10. A mixture of puzzle platformer and precision platformer, with a lot of hidden passages and fake floors. Recommended, if you like ALL THREE of those things, otherwise a pass. B&W minimalist theme
